Restaurants near James Road Park

Porch and Parlor is my absolute favorite steak house! We ordered appetizer, steaks, sides, desserts and specialty drinks. Everything was exceptional! Our server, Aby, was amazing and gave us a thorough overview of the menu, and she prepared our au poivre sauce at the table. The aroma was amazing! I ordered the collard greens as a side dish, with the belief that no one made them as good as my grandma used to. Well, I hate to say this, but my grandma's can't compete. I don't know how you elevate a southern style side dish to that level, but Porch and Parlor did just that!

Beautiful bar but the tuna "nachos" were nearly inedible (wontons were incredibly stale). A+ service, however!

Coastal Fish has always been one of my favorite places to go to. At lunch I always get the Seafood Cobb Salad and it never disappoints! Last week, I was there and I was concerned about the amount and the quality of the salad. I was with a friend and I did not want to raise a fuss about it. I did write a review about it. Our service was outstanding. But oh my goodness. That was a pathetic salad for $26! Nothing like I have ever had there before. Surprisingly enough the ladies that I went to lunch with yesterday wanted to go to Coastal. So...I agreed and just ordered something else. Again, outstanding service! The noise level made it hard to carry on a conversation. The motors of the fans? Not sure. I ordered the Steak salad which was marvelous. THEN, the table across from us had 2 Cobb Salads delivered to their table. It looked like that kind that I used to get before last week. It filled the plate, had plenty of bacon on the side and even had hard-boiled eggs sprinkled on it. I was sorry that I did not order it but oh well. I don't know what happened that day last week. Maybe the chef was new or having a very bad day? Now, I wish that I had said something that very day. Too late but I am very glad that Coastal's standards have not fallen down.

Everything we had was delicious the octopus the beets I had they spinach, ravioli an entrée, and my husband had sea bass. Good attentive service. I wasn’t expecting much and a hotel restaurant, but it was actually very good.

Bartender Mike was phenomenal...Food was on point...
