Upscale rustic atmosphere with a beautiful bar area. Wonderful art and decor throughout. The very nice smooth jazz music fits the room perfectly and is accommodating for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience and easy conversations. Good balanced menu selection suitable for most tastes. Creative and tasteful plate combinations. All the food from appetizers to dessert was very good and the best we have found thus far in a very large greater Blue Ridge Mountain region. Manager is present and available. Our waitress Jennifer, was excellent, personable and also helpful in our dinner selections. Hostess was also pleasant and accommodating. The bar tender also did a nice job on mixology. We drove over an hour to dine at Stekoa and look forward to returning next time we are in the Clayton area.

Everything we ate was amazing. The staff was attentive and gracious. 10/10, would recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely meal in Highlands.

The experience alone in the beautiful countryside is worth the trip. The baked brie starter is exceptional - best I've had. The salmon is wonderful too. Service is at a bit of a slower pace, but the ambience is wonderful - no-one should be in a hurry if you have the privilege to eat here.
