Restaurants near Island Beach State Park

We have been to Rosie’s about a half dozen times and we were seated up stairs for the first time. The noise level non existent even with other diners. The food and service,our server was Sean, was outstanding as usual. The down stairs seating is a bit noisy but even if we are seated there next time the food and service are worth the trip.

Chef Mikes has been a favorite for a long time and we always have a great experience this was no exception. From Morgan our fabulous server who didn't rush us and shared her thoughts on favorites my husband has the chilean sea bass and i had short ribs. both weee delicious ( in fact tonight 1 days later i finished my leftovers and still delicious ) Chef Mike remains a top choice with a great location. a must while down the shore for any foodies

We dined on a Sunday and were among the first tables seated at this BYOB bistro. The restaurant decor is lovely, but the many windows give on to the parking lot and the busy road beyond. Sheer or translucent light-filtering window treatments would add to the intimacy of the dining room before sunset. To start, we enjoyed the charcuterie board with 2 cheeses, 2 meats, grilled bread, olives, fruits, fig jam smear, and a morsel of honeycomb. The frenched chicken garnished with tomato and a slice of artichoke heart served over mashed potatoes with scampi sauce was moist, tender, and delicious, as was the bouillabaisse with fresh halibut that my husband enjoyed. The ample grilled broccolini were firm and tasty. For dessert, the churros with dipping sauces were very crunchy but a tad too dense. Service was kind and attentive. Overall, a very pleasant meal, if just a bit pricey for the experience.

The food and service were excellent and lived up to all the good things we have heard about it. Will definitely be back!
