Tavern & Table is the dream child of Cecil & Dianne Crowley, Andy Palmer & Jeff Condon. After years of working together on various successful restaurant concepts, they wanted to bring together the very best aspects of fine dining and casual hospitality in a beautiful and comfortable setting. Tavern & Table is more than a restaurant, it was created to be a gathering place where people sit in comfort and share small plates for the table or enjoy a hearty meal. The bartenders know the fine art of cocktail making and their interest in flavor and presentation comes alive in not only in the food but in barrel aged cocktails that are created in-house.

Located on Charleston's Upper King Street, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves rustic Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With community tables, an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can accommodate 100 guests for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Negroni cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. The massive wooden doors on Upper King Street are your first indication that Indaco is different from the typical Charleston restaurant. Rustic details continue inside with butcherblock tables, lime-wash walls, and white brick. An open kitchen with nearby community tables lets interested diners keep an eye on the action inside the kitchen. Outside, a patio puts you streetside to watch Upper King Street's vibrant nightlife scene.

We had a wonderful experience at Peninsula Grill this evening. We opted for an outside table so it was lovely and quiet. The food and service were both incredible. The coconut cake is a must!

Great place to dine for lunch and more! They came highly recommended from friends who already had dined there and was one of their favorites. Amens’s didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere and vibe is great as was the food and service. I had their shellfish sampler along with a bowl of She Crab soup. My wife had a Caesar Salad with fried oysters. Both entrees were wonderful. Definitely would go back!

I had the pleasure of showing hospitality to a visiting business guest from Mumbai, India who is a vegetarian. I did a quick search for veggie friendly restaurants in the Charleston area and an old favorite Tavern & Table made the top ten on the list I was reviewing. I hadn't dined at some of the other restaurants listed and decided that T&T was a very safe bet although I knew the menu is on the shorter side. Traffic on this Wednesday night was awful and I knew we were not going to make our 6:15 on time so I called ahead to let them know I would be a bit late. The hostess was very friendly and held our table for us. The restaurant can be very busy so reservations are always suggested. I didn't find a parking spot in the open free lot and was already running late so we parked in the garage for about $9 for our dinner stay. We started our dinner with a tasty T&T Old Fashioned and it was a slightly sweeter, floral and fruity twist on the classic recipe. Our Bulgarian server Milar (spelling?) was super helpful and patient with us as we went over the menu looking for the best options for my vegetarian guest. He ended up ordering the mushroom flatbread and loved it. We split a wedge salad (bacon on the side for me) and I finally had the double double cheeseburger after ordering the steak frites on several other visits. The steak frites is amazing especially with the duck fat fries (you had me at duck fat!) but I wanted something different. The double double was great and large enough where I couldn't finish it. The sunset on Shem Creek this night was amazing compliments of hurricane Milton clouds that filled the sky. The photo's are from our outside table under the cover. It was a great dinner and my international guest was very happy with the food and great vibrant atmosphere of this popular spot.
