Restaurants near Hungry Hill

The perfect experience. Extraordinary food that we haven’t seen in West Cork for years, if at all. This restaurant is a gift to Clonakilty and to West Cork. It is Michelin standard fine dining, with such a welcoming team. Myself and my husband love Lil’s so much.

We are regulars and this place is getting very good with the new ownership group. They are clearly investing and upgrading. The newest chef (5 in four years?) is the best yet. Great ingredients but not too fussy with sauces. Still technically good. Wine list vastly improved. Trajectory is good but not there yet. They really need to move dinner upstairs as the ambiance downstairs is dull. But they have improved it with some good background music and upgraded lighting and decoration. The staff are very nice, but seem like summer interns. Not a complaint. I’d rather that than bad attitude. Best meal we’ve had here in over a decade of coming.

We had an excellent meal. The service was very good and the the atmosphere was lovely. Lovely evening. Would highly recommend.

Came here with a party of 8 and the restaurant team was very accommodating and welcoming. The restaurant is spacious and located in a booming part of town with many other shops and pubs nearby. They offer a full bar with great cocktails and sharing tapas. The appetizers such as the sourdough crisp and seafood plates were delicious and fairly priced. The staff was very attentive even when there was another party of 38 on the other side of the restaurant. We felt very well cared for. The menu offered a variety of options and clearly highlighted the dietary elements. Restaurant is accessible/wheelchair friendly. Great ambiance, excellent food, and even better service!

Very happy repeat customers; being able to book a table in advance is a great idea. The food was delicious as always and there was a really nice quiet atmosphere.
