I had such a lovely experience at Charco—truly one of the standout meals I’ve had in Mexico City, and honestly better than some of the hyped-up, Bib Gourmand and Michelin-starred spots I’ve tried here and in other cities. Every single dish was incredible and presentation was great. The price point is well below any US restaurant and I was shocked by the preparation and quality of the food. My waiter recommended a few dishes which I found exceptional. The Waygu steak was the absolute highlight—it was perfectly cooked and just melted in my mouth. While I did have to wait a bit for the steak, the owner personally came over to update me and apologize, which I really appreciated. They even offered me dessert on the house, though I wasn’t in the mood for something sweet. Still, the gesture and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The ambience was beautiful—elevated and modern—and the service was warm and welcoming despite my Spanish is beyond rusty. Another host and my server checked in on me thoughtfully, offering a shot of tequila to complement the experience (I wasn’t drinking that day, but again, it was such a kind offer). All in all, Charco left a big impression. Amazing food, genuine hospitality, and a space that feels stylish. When I return, I’ll be excited to try other dishes.

Visited with my family of four. We all had the 4 course dinner, great tasting food. Main plate was a bit cold but tasted great.

We had the taco tasting meal with beer pairing. It was superb! Our waiter was attentive and informative. Highly recommend Limosneros!

The rooftop seating is so wonderful and had a beautiful view. And most importantly, the food was incredible. We both had fish dishes and they were among our favorite dishes in CDMX!
