Restaurants near Homewood Suites by Hilton Asheville

We had cocktails and appetizers this evening. Food was great and ambience was as well.

We generally visit the Stable Cafe at lunch when they have more variety on the menu. It is a beautiful and unique venue. Dinner was a bit pricey, and last night the menu was limited. We saw a family with small children leave when they saw the prices. The entrees were very good, but the bisque lacked salt and was too thick. In fact, I would say they forgot the salt altogether. I am not someone who salts my food at the table. My husband was very happy with his Caesar Salad. I ordered the cheesecake tart, and it had apple compote on top. It was extremely sweet because it contained more sweet apple pie filling and whip cream than cheesecake.

The food and service were great, and we enjoyed our evening at Luminosa very much. However, the noise level was sufficiently high that we had difficulty hearing what the server was saying. Indeed, we had to raise our voices to hear each other. I discussed this with the server, and he said the noise level is lower in the rear of the restaurant. Next time, we’ll ask for a table in that section.

Excellent savory farm to table food, well prepared and presented. Extensive wine list and interesting cocktails.
