- DDeborahHouston •15 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWhile we truly thought the food and service was exceptional the live band was way too loud to hear yourself talk. I wouldn’t take a date there because you’ll just have to sit and stare at each other or conduct sign language. The music was so loud my ears and were ringing. The acoustics just don’t fit the space. During the band breaks the DJ would come on and play music but even his sounds could be lower to a more comfortable volume. We all agreed our food was delicious! No, actually the food was outstanding. I wanted to kiss the chef. lol. We had delectable lamb chops, glazed salmon, fried shrimp appetizer and fried fish with dirty rice on the table. While the dirty rice was delicious enough it lacked something but I couldn’t put my finger on it. It was a tad bit too salty but tolerable. We had an issue at check out but it was handled very professionally. Just be sure to check their itemized list to make sure you’re paying for what you were served. Overall the we mutually agreed that we can’t wait to come back but on a much quieter evening other than a Friday or Saturday night. My biggest complaint and disappointment is in order to eat there you’re met with parking attendants demanding $20 fee to park. There are no parking fees during brunch and lunch times but do call in advance to check. There’s also automatic gratuities added to the check which probably can be negotiated should you run into just down right bad service.More infoThe Nomad ReservePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Mid West•4.7
