Good food and good service! Love this place always!

Townsend, TN has a few interesting attractions, but the REAL reason to visit is the Dancing Bear Bistro. The setting was gorgeous even though the fall colors were early. Easy to get to from Gatlinburg area, and does the soul well to get out of the energy there. We were warmly greeted and our server was very attentive without being invasive. Aeleen made our visit there very amicable. I thoroughly enjoyed the Appalachian Bouillabaisse. The shrimp, scallops, muscles and several types of fish were perfectly prepared. The broth was exceptional and seasoned wonderfully. My wife enjoyed the tenderloin prepared at a perfect rare per her request. The menu did not specify a prime stake or a Certified Angus steak, but the tenderloin was as tender and tasty as any that we have eaten at a five-star steakhouse. We sat outside and were not bothered by bugs, and the ambiance there added to the beauty of the evening. The restaurant markets that the menu changes due to local sourcing of food, but we intend to return on our next visit to the area and choose new dishes to enjoy.

Great dining experience for our group of 12 celebrating 30 years of sisterhood. Highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful! Cocktails, food and everything in between. Robert was spectacular and we cannot wait to come back!

From start to finish every staff member, our server and everything we ordered was beyond fantastic. It is definitely worth the hour drive from where we live.
