Our table originally we didn’t like as it was too dark lighting and too near the front entrance , as the front door was open a draft was coming in and the metal seats were too cold to sit on . We did ask to move ? The staff kindly moved us upstairs which suited us all the ambiance was lovely and staff very friendly . Food could not fault outstanding will recommend to family and friends and will definitely be booking up again 5 star

We spent a wonderful time in the Garden, by the river. The food was well presented by friendly staff and it was amazing. Would recommend the Lion as a great place to enjoy great food

Lovely old coaching inn setting. Very hospitable staff team. Menu is suitably realistic and delivers. Very well presented with excellent flavours. Beers, & ciders of course are local and very good too. Altogether a very enjoyable meal, company and experience.
