Restaurants near Friendship Park

We had an amazing time at Gibsons. I am gluten free and dairy free and the waitress Leslie did an amazing job communicating what they could do to make my meal enjoyable! Leslie was so energetic and excited to be there. Another thing we noted was that we did not feel rushed at all. A lot of times restaurants just want to turn the table and get people moved out. We had time to review the menu, enjoy our wine, talk, and enjoy the food. It was a great place for a birthday dinner.

I just wanted to share a delightful experience I had this past weekend at one of my favorite spots - Cooper's Hawk in Arlington Heights. It was my first time going there for brunch, and I must say, it was fantastic as always! From the impeccable service to the delicious food, they never disappoint. If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend giving their brunch a try.

Everything was amazing. There was 1 issue, though. We kept on getting fruit flies flying on and around on our table and plates. Pretty annoying. We are in the middle of winter and fruit flies usually are present in the warmer months. That’s concerning. If they are out in the dining room then they are definitely in the kitchen. Thank you

We are so welcomed from the moment we drive up Kevin and Jayden are amazing Phil is always so warm and friendly Bella is absolutely great, kind and attentive Food is absolutely fantastic Thank you for a lovely dining experience Only suggestion… Spend some money upgrading your bathrooms. Women’s restroom is falling apart and absolutely freezing. It should be as lovely as the restaurant

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet and it was a lovely afternoon. The servers were quick with anything we needed and were always friendly. They were also helpful - my husband asked for Turkish coffee and the server responded that black coffee was included but there would be an extra charge for Turkish. Totally reasonable and I appreciated not getting a surprise added charge later. The food was solid, especially the cold apps/salads, cig kofte, lentil soup, bread basket, and the two meats made from ground meat. It's tough to prepare food for such a large group, so not surprising that the chicken kebabs were drier than I'd like. I was sad not to see any lamachun available, as it was listed. But that's okay as that's also something that's better when it's piping hot. At no point did anyone indicate that they needed our table, which can be a concern both at buffets and on holidays. We were able to relax between courses and enjoy the holiday as a family. I'd happily return!
