"This place - to me - was a hidden gem! I have been to Georgetown a million times, but never seemed to notice this place. Well, that won't happen again! Yes, it's tiny, but the size of the place belies the quality of the food. And the house margarita was one of the best I've had in the DMV.
Face it, Mexican, or specifically, TexMex, is not a quality cuisine in this area, but you'd never know it from the food Don Lobos serves. I had jalapeno stuffed prawns wrapped in bacon for my dinner, served over a bed of grilled onions on a hot fajita plates. Fresh tortillas, pico de gallo and guacamole made it a perfect meal. My friend, a colleague from Singapore, had a tasty red-wine sangria to accompany her carne asada, which looked amazing! I wish I could have eaten two meals and I would have tried that as well.
The waitress was attentive and darling, checking on us several times during the meal, but not so often as to be a nuisance. And the prices were so reasonable: my entree was the most expensive on the menu and topped out at $23.00. Wonderful evening and I'll definitely be taking other friends there in the future!"Vedi di più
