We currently offer in-house dining Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30-10:00pm (last dinner seating is at 9:30). Takeout is no longer available at this time. Patio dining is available Memorial Day weekend through September and always subject to weather. Please call us directly to reserve a patio table, but keep in mind that of the six 4-tops available outside, three are kept for walk-ins only.Our restaurant features Paolo Laboa, international chef from Genova, Italy. His menu consists of simple, flavorful and authentic Northern Italian cuisine. This includes handmade pasta, crudo (raw fish), fresh pizza and an all-Italian wine list. Ingredients are sourced locally, from various Maine farms and from the Gulf of Maine, whenever possible.

    Food was wonderful! Perfect portion sizes. We had the sole which was delicious and my son had shrimp and polenta which he loved. Priced reasonably. We would definitely go back!

    I’ve been in several times for brunch but this was a first for dinner. The food was outstanding! We both got the braised short rib and it was so tender. I had the French onion soup to start and my partner greatly enjoyed the deviled eggs (which are often on Portland menus but rarely live up to the expectations we got at the Front Room). We went out on a Friday night to celebrate a new promotion so the place was crowded and very loud but we understood that comes with the territory on a Friday night. Our server was great but a bit speedy to dart off after delivering drinks or apps making it harder to slip in requests. However I would see him over at the drink station scanning the dining room for his tables to anticipate their needs and show up to take orders or greet a new table. I was impressed by his awareness of the room and as it became lest boisterous he connected more with us over our menu choices letting us know the short rib is his favorite as well. Overall I would highly recommend the Front Room for a great value and amazing food. (Free plug for the Grill Room if you want a fancier dinner out and the best steaks in Portland.)

    I chose this restaurant because the picture of the space was so inviting. The actual experience and food was absolutely wonderful. The food presentation was nicely done and it was delicious. My favorite was the baby corn! Our server, Victoria, was the most delightful, pleasant and thoughtful person. Her welcoming demeanor was exceptional. The other staff were so pleasant and spot on that you wouldn’t know that this restaurant has only been open for seven weeks. It’s obvious that the owners truly care about the experience. Well done.
