Restaurants near Farrand Garden

My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful food and lively atmosphere at Gola. I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who would appreciate contemporary Italian cuisine in a casual setting.

To start with the positive, our food was great! We came at a crowded time and understood that slowed the service down a bit but it just generally seemed SO inefficient and poorly run. It seems fixable and we’d go back for the food but it should never take 45 minutes to get glasses of water! At one point there were five people working behind the bar and not a single order of drinks coming out… The food runners also didn’t understand the table numbering so didn’t know where to deliver food when it finally did come out. The managers really need to figure out how to do better with respect to service since the food/menu are otherwise food.

The meal was delicious, and the service was lovely. The Cornell Hospitality students as well as the permanent staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

Good overall experience, the food and the service were about average. Definitely try the triple fried potatoes!!
