The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. Celebrated Anniversary here, everything was absolutely fabulous. Our waiter Zuzu made the experience even more memorable. Food wise, we went with the tempura prawns which were perfect. The other starter we got was the burrata with bruschetta, this was a bit of a disappointment as the bruschetta was gummy and dry at the same time. Mains were to die for. Desserts outstanding. Overall a very nice experience. Would recommend.
