At Austin's, we've been cooking the old fashioned way since 1994. We start with the freshest ingredients we can find, delivered to our kitchen each day of the week. We make everything on our menu from scratch, every day. We grill over hardwood, not gas, the way that it was a long time ago. It may not be the fastest or least expensive way to do business, but for us, it is the only way. We want each meal you enjoy with us to be a memorable and delicious one; so we work hard preparing each dish to order, smoking ribs and brisket, filleting fresh fish, hand cutting steaks, preparing homemade soups daily and baking our fresh breads and desserts.     We went on a Thursday night to celebrate a birthday. Couldn’t be happier. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere. Everyone made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

    If/when you go to this Mentor restaurant MAKE A RESERVATION or you will be waiting at least a half an hour or more to be seated. Lobby was full of people when we arrived for our 6:30 pm reservation. We were seated immediately. If you decide you are dead set on ordering a crab entree-bring your own fork-restaurant only provides crab cracker tool. Crab legs sautéed in garlic butter very slippery and messy. Will get steamed crab legs w melted butter on the side next time. We arrived at 6:30 pm and waited almost 30 minutes to have our drink and food order taken. Very short staffed. Server was very courteous. Husband enjoyed the shrimp. alfredo. I had the 1lb crab legs. We left around 8pm. Lobby not so crowded. Bar was full. Lots of families w little kids. Will make later reservation next time we plan our visit.
