Great location for lunch overlooking the sea front. Sadly the food wasn’t great as 2 of the meals had some of the ingredients missing so these had to be asked for…..it was only a Caesar Salad so not a difficult dish! One of the salads was swamped in sauce so very soggy. Asked for additional tap water which never arrived so had to request again Just little things but given the price of lunch personally I fet these things did let the venue down.

We had a lovely meal. The staff were welcoming, very friendly. Our food from the set menu was delicious and very good value. I would highly recommend the Mermaid.
