"This was our first time to Houlihan's. In fact - we had never heard of it before. Very pleased with our inaugural visit during G.R. Restaurant Week - choosing to eat outside on the patio. We splurged for two $25+ chef meals - sharing the scallops and 1/2 rack ribs. The ribs were enough to bring me back. Not your traditional fare but very tasty and meaty. Deserts were - Salted Caramel Gooey Butter Cake & Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. I preferred the Gooey Butter Cake. Probably not a great decision since we were outside. The ice cream melted a little to quickly.
My only disappointment was their selection of scotches. Johnnie Walker Black was the best option. I opted for a beer. Suggestion - get yourself a bottle of 12 year old Glenlivet - at least.
Being part of the Breton Village Mall, it's a little difficult to get to from Rockford. Particularly with the construction taking place. But we won't be discouraged by this. We will return!"See more
