The food was excellent but the pate should be served with simple melba toast or plain toast not sweet brioche. The service does not match the quality of the food. Not even close. Water glasses served with 3 fingers in the glass !!! It's expensive and so all elements have to be quality. We enjoyed our meal very much but the service needs to be worked on to warrant the price and let's the chef down

Good food, friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I normally give Bear 5 stars but unfortunately on this occasion I’ve knocked a couple of stars off as the food that I ordered wasn’t available. I wanted the fruit pancakes and we’d gone in specifically to have pancakes so it was annoying that they weren’t available. The only ones available were chicken and bacon, so no good for me being a vegetarian.
