New people running the Chequers now know as the Chequers smokehouse. They are using a reduce menu at present. The main selling points is the in house smoked meats. We had the chicken wing and pork belly thes were excellent along with chips and various sauces etc. only done side very little vegan or vegetarian option. Service very good, attentive and friendly.

Couldn't fault a thing! First time dining here but definitely won't be the last! Food second to none! ..steak cooked to perfection and staff attentive and friendly...lovely atmosphere and all round perfect evening. The only downside is the mains don't naturally include sides...so be mindful to add those on. Which does increase the price ..but again...completely worth it! But yes ...everything is an extra... however would still highly recommend!

Lovely traditional old pub, sympathetically decorated seating and dining areas. Very dog friendly, we had our two with us, so the biscuits and water station were much appreciated. Food (bouillabaisse and chicken, mushroom and blue cheese) was delicious. The beer (pinpoint) was well kept and tasty.

Delicious food well cooked great service. Will visit again.

We had lunch with friends today. The staff were very friendly, helpful and cheerful. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend. We will be back.
