Free crab on your birthday! This Cajun soul food spot located in a mini-mall on East 82nd Avenue has earned its legion of superfans. The restaurant is known for its popular seafood boils, po’boys, and fried or blackened seafood (which the restaurant will gladly smother in étouffée sauce); however, the restaurant’s crawfish étouffée —crawfish tail meat swimming in a buttery sauce of onions, peppers, celery, and garlic — is the people’s favorite.IT SOUNDS ENTIRELY too unlikely to have resulted in anything delicious: Two Vietnamese brothers who grew up in Houston, Texas, open a Creole joint near the corner of SE 82nd Avenue and Division Street, next door to a Chinese restaurant and a “bubble tea” shop. But forsaking My Brother’s Crawfish just because of its out-of-the-way location or its owners’ seemingly tenuous relationship to authentic N’awlins fare would be a mistake. In fact, we can say with little doubt that this modest restaurant offers the best Creole cuisine in town.

I sat outside where the view and the temperature were perfect. My server had a great personality. I was a bit disappointed because I was there for the king salmon and they were out. She provided me with a number of tempting options, but I really wanted salmon. I ended up going with the crab Mac-n-cheese which was very good. Sitting along the Columbia River, drinking wine, enjoying a great dinner, and watching the sunset is difficult to beat. She comped me a Caesar salad since I couldn’t get the salmon I wanted. It wasn’t necessary, but greatly appreciated. Those are the little things that bring you back as well as recommend the restaurant to others. I’ll definitely go again when I’m back in Portland.

I met friends at LM and we had a great time. The ambiance is great, it does get a little noisy with patrons but it wasn’t too bad. The food as always is so delicious. So fresh! So well seasoned and tasty! My cucumber and strawberry salad was unique and yummy, and the Hangar Steak was cooked perfectly. 3 of us at the table got the same thing and all loved it. Service was excellent and friendly. My cocktail was a cucumber and yuzu and ginger beer and I loved it.
