Restaurants near Comfort Inn & Suites Byram

Probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten - and I’ve eaten at many fine dining steakhouses across the US. All staff members were very personable and efficient. Tables were set up nicely with double linen tablecloths and napkins. We were impressed seeing the owners - Mr. & Mrs. Shapley - there greeting and mingling with diners. Both were very pleasant, gracious hosts. Although the following comments wouldn’t prevent my returning in the future, on the downside, we (party of 4) found the atmosphere and decor to be a bit sterile. The dining area very closely resembles a converted commercial business that had numerous built-in cubicles. The half wall partitions separating them remain. Each cubicle now has a private 4 top table within. Though the privacy afforded to diners is most appreciated, some live green plantings atop the half wall partitions and some soft jazz music would make a huge difference in the overall atmosphere.

We enjoyed our meal very much. Neighborhood is very cool. The waitor was confused. Forgot our appetizers. We got them after the mea.

The food was outstanding. The Fried Green tomatoes and the Filet was perfect. We never received the dinner rolls. Service was a little slower than I liked. I feel on a busy Friday night one additional server would have been good to spread the workload around.

Johnny T’S is a very nice place to dine, the atmosphere is very pleasant with a patio on the back. The food is off the chain it’s so good especially the Cajun Seafood Pasta and the fried Broccoli. As a matter of fact everything I’ve eaten there is delicious. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone that willing to find a nice restaurant. Oh did I mention that they have an upstairs bar and dining area also.
