Though we have been to Granbury several times, this was our first time visiting 1890. Our waitress Katy was excellent and delivered a very smooth and enjoyable dining experience. We received friendly explanations to all of our questions, and she even included a little bit of history about the restaurant. The ambiance was romantic, but not stuffy. Though the service staff was dressed formally, the overall vibe is quite casual. You would be equally suited to come in business casual or more formal dress. All of our dishes were delivered timely yet without feeling rushed. The price was in the range you would expect for a high-end steakhouse. Our order included... Sea Bass - excellent flavor, perfectly prepared, and a star of the meal Filet Mignon - tender, excellent flavor, our came out more done than ordered but when the manager came by to check on us (as is their policy), we chose to leave as-is without correction Sauteed Spinach - nicely prepared and seasoned Jalapeno Mac and Cheese - very flavorful, not overpowered by the jalapeno Sauteed Mushrooms - nicely flavored Smoked Sweet Corn - nice addition for the filet Cheese Grits - good flavor, a bit clumpy The location within the downtown Granbury circle is great for an after dinner walk and people watching. In all we had a GREAT experience and will definitely return to 1890 again.

Food and atmosphere was amazing. We had sushi and pasta dishes. Was perfect night outside.

One of my best friends and I decided to take a girls trip to Waco for the Silobratiion after the tragic loss of her son. I surprised her by making reservations at this restaurant.. from the moment you walk up to the restaurant, the ambience and beauty was immediately felt. We walked in and the WOW factor was all over both our faces! Our waitress was soo sweet, so knowledgeable and very professional. There were two gentlemen sitting at the table next to ours from 44 Farms - they overheard we were from Hot Springs, Arkansas and we enjoyed getting to visit with them. The spinach dip was our appetizer (it melted in our mouths!) then we get our drinks of the blackberry mock tail- WOW factor again!! We both ordered the orange glazed salmon with the balsamic brussel sprouts … we were speechless!!! It tasted so delicious. The gentlemen from 44 Farms ordered (and paid) for dessert for us (Thank You!). The best ice cream ever. Everything in this restaurant has a touch of love to it and it was just amazing. We are already planning another girls trip here next year!

Hudson House is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner! Most recently I was there with friends for lunch. We started with a shrimp cocktail and sushi. Both were amazing! I’m not a huge sushi lover but tye Sunset Roll was delicious! And now I’m craving it! I also had the spicy popcorn chicken

Fantastic overall dining experience! The service was excellent and every need was taken care of before we knew we had a need. The food was seasoned and well cooked. Absolutely delicious!
