Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Ever since then, we have been serving popovers and tea.Please note: Reservations may be made for inside dining only. The Islesford Dock Restaurant & Gallery is just that - a restaurant and gallery on a dock on Islesford, Little Cranberry Island, Maine. We have a large greenhouse right out back that produces a good amount of our produce, source our lobsters from the fisherman's co-op just next door, and use Gulf of Maine seafood almost exclusively. The menu is rounded out with naturally raised meats and chicken and the service is casual but professional, warm and inviting. Make sure you get out to Islesford Dock while you're here in the area by taking the Beal & Bunker mail boat that makes multiple trips back and forth every day or take one of the several other tour boats out. We are closed Mondays throughout the Summer. Starting in September we will be open for dinner service only, and we are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Season ends October 1st.

It was a bit too cool to eat on the roof terrace so we ate in the main restaurant. Service by Morgan and others was terrific and food ( we both had the pork chop) was outstanding, the best I have experienced anywhere. Prosecco was absolutely fine and tiramisu was very tasty. A very, very nice evening out

This was a random Monday evening so perhaps we can excuse the unbussed tables as the result of a slow night. We saw a grand total of 3 employees in the restaurant, and only one server for the entire dining room. That said, the food was about what you might expect from a chain pizza operation, especially given that we ordered their deep dish (not a very deep dish if you ask me) pizza x 2. Nothing very wrong, but the entire operation seemed tired. A little paint, some new decorative details, and some customers would be a great improvement. Not sure if we will be back or not.

We traveled over five hours from Massachusetts to check out a local college and stayed overnight in Bangor. My nephew loves BWW and it was a great time to relax with him after a long day. The food was perfect and the wait staff was great. Highly recommended
