This is our second time at this restaurant and it definitely is not the last. We planned a hike around the restaurant and when we were running late, I called and the hostess was pleasant and accommodating. The drinks are not watered down and the food is excellent. My husband had the lamb shank that was perfectly flavored and textured as was the duck a l’orange that I had. We finished with a warm apple tart with vanilla ice cream. The flavor was delicious and not too sweet. Perfect way to end our meal.

What a great way to kick off Summer '24! This was a special day. I drove up from the city for afternoon cocktails with friends outside of Woodstock, with dinner planned here. I had visited in mid-July last year with other friends and knew it was the perfect place to celebrate an important birthday. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Our table host was a charming young woman who could light up a room with her smile. She was truly kind-hearted and attentive to our special meal. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were on point, and the view of the green lawn and Hudson River was simply spectacular. What made it magical was the manager. We connected on the way in over a health issue one of my guests was dealing with. She was so generous of spirit and thoughtful in her engagement that I will forever associate this beautiful setting with her and the kindness she showed. If by chance you read this, thank you, thank you, thank you. You touched us deeply. It was truly a wonderful evening. Thank you for helping create a memorable moment that I will always look back on with a smile. Here’s to many more visits this summer!

Even with a reservation we had to wait 15 minutes despite the restaurant not being busy at all - though they said they were very busy. Once finally seated we waited a bit for a server to acknowledge us as well - nearly 10. Disappointed wine chosen (one of 5 basics) was not available. Thankfully the food was consistent and delicious which is why we return.

Ordered the sirloin, medium rare it was a little overdone, but still tasted very good. The fries had been under the heater for a while so they were not great. my friend ordered the pork tenderloin in the Thai curry sauce, and it was outstanding

The food and food servers were both excellence. The lighting was a bit too dark with only one light in the middle of the room. We were also seated next to the kitchen, when there were plenty of open tables when we arrived and also when we finished, I wish we had spoken up and requested a new table (that’s on us) We look forward to another dining experience here, we joyed it very much!
