Lovely meal, great choice, prices have gone up but large portions and good quality. Staff are friendly and attentive. Restaurant is decorated beautifully. We go monthly and always have a great experience.

Superb selection of dishes for all 3 courses, something for everyone. Chose halloumi chips, sea bass with creamy celeriac which was outstanding & pear tatin . All the food was to an impeccable standard, prices slightly higher than a lot of places but reflected in the high quality of the food served. Excellent attentive service. Will definitely be returning

Food was reasonable but drinks are very expensive, I’m not used to paying £6 for a pint of beer

Friendly & attentive service from Theodore and the team , great food and value for money

During a short break at the Black Bull we had two very good evening meals there. On our first night it was Curry Night - top notch food, fresh, tasty - my lamb rogan josh & my wife's Keralan fish curry both excellent (as was the onion bhaji, nothing like ones you get from a supermarket!). On our last night it was the a la carte menu, and that was a special meal - high quality, excellent presentation, really enjoyable. The starters & dessert were very good, my wife's monkfish and my venison both superb. The Black Bull definitely deserves its reputation for excellent food.
