Restaurants near Cannon Beach Surf

As we entered, we were greeted by name at the door. The host was very agreeable and wanted to make sure that we had a table that was appropriate for us. The waitress thing came to our table and was very charming and knowledgeable. The only potential negative was the time. It took from ordering until we received our cocktails. It was a little bit longer than I would’ve anticipated. The food was excellent and very timely. The waitress gave us excellent direction on items that we might enjoy. Overall, it was a an outstanding experience. My husband had three oysters on the half shell and regretted not having ordered six. I had the fried calamari and a salad with Dungeness crab added. Both of those items were excellent as well.

Service was fantastic - our waiter was a great balance between attentive but also being non-intrusive, with some pleasant light humor thrown in. We were seated at a great table at the window overlooking the water which was amazing. The chowder was fabulous - among the best I have ever had, but the halibut and chips was slightly dry and not very flavorful. I realize that fish batter can be overpowering and too salty at times, but this was on the opposite end for my tastes, at least. The food was served hot and the presentation was very pleasing. All things said, I would dine here again, largely due to the wait staff and ambience.

The food and wine pairing experience was amazing. Excellent food and great service.

Not sure why Open Table offers reservations. When we arrived at restaurant, they stated that they do not accept reservations. We had a party of 6 which fortunately they could accommodate.
