The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats. We are now open and serving the best cuts of meat in Devon. Meats cooked to perfection and brought to the table on skewers.We are a brand new steakhouse, and between the head chef and the owners we have 20+ years of experience. You will have to come and try our famous Picanha, cap of rump steak, cooked and cut to perfection at your table. We offer 8 different meats for lunch and 15 for dinner.Amazing décor with fresh and vibrant colours. We have fully renovated the restaurant with flowers, lights, and a modern feel.     Booked for 5 people but there actually was 6 in our party- no problem for the staff though, who were very accommodating. Half our group had the carvery, everyone was very happy with the choice of meats/ quality of the veg options and the price. Bonus option that they do ‘small’ plates at a reduced price too. Service was a little slow at times, but the staff were really busy and are always so friendly and helpful, so it never really became an issue.

    Always fantastic! Superb choice of pizzas which aren’t the usual flavours. A good range of non-meat options and the courgette fries are the thing of dreams! Lovely staff. Great ambience. Perfect fit pre/theatre as food arrives quickly but you’re then not rushed out the door when you’ve finished eating.

    Booked a table for 14 and everyone had a great time friendly staff and absolutely amazing food the only downfall was slightly slow service towards the end of the night 6/7 and ordering drinks throughout the meal but it was busy due to armed forces day and England playing later that day so the staff were flat out! Overall amazing experience and can't wait to come back!
