Fabulous afternoon tea. Really impressed with the quality of the food and service.

We both enjoyed our wedding anniversary meal at Pho, Cambridge having had the foresight to book our table beforehand as we know how busy this restaurant can be. This is a busy restaurant and we dined on the first floor where the noise level is slightly less than dining on the busier ground floor. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and our starters, which was shared between us, was excellent especially the baby squid. My wife had the Pho chicken whilst I had the Pho king prawn noodle curry whilst we both enjoyed our respective main dishes I found the king prawns were large but tasteless. After our meal I started to feel bloated and put this down to the large dish that I had just eaten however on the drive home I felt increasingly 'uncomfortable' and needed the 'rest room' as soon as we arrived home and fortunately just in time. As I had not eaten since mid morning and the only dish that I had eaten that was not shared then I can only assume that it was the king prawns that made me feel that evening, not a pleasant way to end an anniversary! In fairness as regular customers to Pho, this is the first time I have had an issue regarding their food.

The food was average. Alcoholic drinks expensive. Not a lot of staff on at lunch time. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Good food from a sensibly sized menu, delivered promptly; truly excellent selection of beers and helpful advice from the staff. All in all a very good experience indeed.
