Welcome to The Boat Inn.The Boat Inn Penkridge was built at the same time as the Staffs and Worcs Canal in 1779 and is one of the old ‘Gateways’ to the Village, for many years it was the first or last stopping point, as locals and visitors travelled along the Cannock Road. Alberts Cafe has a team of passionate baristas and proudly serves Allpress Espresso coffee.     Albert Cafe is such a lovely place, especially the outdoor seating beside the river. I booked a table for my family to celebrate a wedding and the staff were absolutely lovely. They were accommodating and all so kind. We had the lovely surprise of having a bite to eat (which was delicious!) there whilst the Pride Festival was on and we were treated to listening to the music playing there all afternoon. It was such a lovely environment and I'd recommend it to everyone, we'll definitely be going again :)

    Chilled atmosphere, typical pub grub burgers, pub meals etc and serves cheap booze and a fairly large cocktail menu. Friendly staff and quick service :)
