My wife and I had an early lunch (11:30 AM) with another couple who rarely get into DC. All four of us really enjoyed what we had. I had the niçoise salad, my wife had the Caesar salad with shrimp, my friend had a plain Caesar salad, and his wife had the croque monsieur, which she said was the best she ever had. I accompanied my salad with a virgin Mary, which was perfectly spiced. We sat upstairs, so it was relatively quiet. Our server was perfect: there when we needed him, not there when we didn't. I highly recommend Cafe du Parc.

We sat in the Grant Room and BK was our waiter. We started with a peach bourbon sangria, which was wonderful. We shared a dozen assorted Potomac oysters, which were like silk. My husband enjoyed his huge crabcake and my meatloaf did not disappoint. Portions were very generous & prices were reasonable. We enjoyed walking around the restaurant and viewing the gas chandeliers, oyster bar, and main bar – it’s a beautiful restaurant.

We had a terrific meal at the Henri last night. My wife had scallops followed by lobster. I had lamb meatballs followed by squab. We LOVED our dishes, and we will certainly come back.
