Wonderful, very talented chef, kudos! Food was truly delectable: seasonings well-balanced, beautifully plated, tender proteins and unique sides. The piece de resistance, going old school fabulous, was the amuse-bouche (tiny plate chef creation apres first course) and the succulent entrement (palate cleanser) which brought us back to when fine dining was an experience...very lovely and appreciated addition. The bar served quite a "nice pour" and very reasonably priced for cocktails, esp in today's overpriced market. We all enjoyed our meals and Sarah, our wait staff, was attentive, friendly yet non-obtrusive. Most enjoyable evening. Our only personal wish of change would be relocating this dining experience to Manchester, a closer ride for us.

The dining room is similar to ones we associate with historically colonial locations, such as Williamsburg, but the food is better! We appreciated the efficiency which pervaded each detail of our excellent experience. Thank you!

Food was excellent, particularly the whole grilled fish. Service was very warm and inviting. Felt like a great bargain. Loved everything except the chocolate budino which had a bit too much salt. But everything else was so outstanding.

First the bartender was excellent! She was attentive and quick. Very prompt and pleasant as she knew we were a bit grumpy from our hostess experience. So about that. The hostess was MIA - we waited 10 minutes because no one else could seat us. A wait person tried. We were very hungry. When hostess finally arrived - she was dour, unapologetic and informed us we would have to wait. Fortunately the super competent bartender made up for the rough start. Food was good and well paced.

We had a lovely dinner on the deck overlooking the Hudson. All the planets lined up for perfect weather, excellent food and Jimmy, a fabulous server. I would recommend SS, without hesitation, to anyone who hasn't yet had the experience.
