Using only freshly sourced Lancashire ingredients, including fresh seasonal vegetables, juicy steaks, fresh fish along with deliciously prepared vegetarian options, we have a menu to suit all tastes. Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.The inn offers several different areas to sit relax, eat and drink with cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. The open pass from the kitchen allows guests to see our kitchen in operation and all this leads to creating a lively buzz and great atmosphere.

This restaurant offers a modern ambiance an ideal place to catch up with family and friends and enjoy our mouthwatering local dishes. The InnThe Inn is full of old world charm with little hidden nucks for dining. This restaurant is full of character and is used at lunch times primarily, but in the evenings, it offers a cosy ambiance lit by candle light ideal for a more casual approach to dining.The Inn also offers an afternoon tea which is simply divine. Served between 2pm-5pm by prior bookings only.The Bar and Snug is a relaxed and super cosy space sticking with the old charm of the Inn which this part of the building offers. It has an impressive wood burning stove and is dog friendly.

    Been here several times and its always brilliant, this time not as good, calzone crust was overdone to the point it wasnt nice to eat, filling was dry hardly any tomato in there which made it dense to eat, felt like it had been warmed up from being freshly made, only my opinion tho, the chicken and chorizo pie was quite tasteless and the garlic mash was dry. Maybe just a bad day, we will go back as its usually spot on .

    I go to the Redwell atleast every 2/3 weeks. With attentive service to my specific needs with mobility issues. The staff are always smiling. Serving food and drinks, menu suits everyone and it's homemade cooked food brought to you piping hot. I had steak and ale pie, puff pastry top, with extra gravy, peas and fries. Followed by their coffee and walnut cake slightly heated with warm custard. It fair filled me up. Delicious and worth the money. I love how peaceful it is in the country.
