Our server Matt was super kind and attentive. We sat in the back dining room which was quiet and intimate, perfect for our date night. Since our reservation was later on in the night, the food was delivered super fast! I definitely recommend visiting during non-peak hours, such as 5:00 when they first open or 8:00 onward. The miso tofu is a hidden gem that’s not on the menu but available upon request. We also asked the bartender Jake to concoct a unique mocktail for us, so he brought over delicious strawberry coconut virgin mojitos. So much creativity, talent, and consideration in this Shelter Island restaurant, and we will definitely be back!

My husband and I loved the grounds of the hotel. Very pretty with a great sunset view! The staff seemed a little confused but got it together for us quickly. We were seated outside as requested. The food was delicious. I had the linguini w clams which was amazing. I highly recommend this place if you can look past the service a little

My first time back to the Halyard in a couple of years & I was very happy to see that the menu became much 'friendlier' with lots of great options. All of our selection (3 people) were delicious...chef is now great! Also the prices are still a bit high but not as crazy as they were...and maybe more value for the money. The service has also vastly improved. Only have good things to say other than the sunset was extremely beautiful. I will be returning soon!

Exceptional specials nightly. Tuna with sticky rice and bock choy was delicious.

Everything from being greeted at the entrance to the service throughout was wonderful! It happened to be a beautiful summer night and we sat outside, our server( can’t remember her name but she was amazing) gave us so much helpful information on the menu, and the food was superb! The indoor dining area looked very romantic and elegant. We definitely recommend it!
