Restaurants near Bastrop County Historical Museum

It’s been a while since we last dined at Perla’s but suffice to say both food and service were spectacular! Jeremy our server is a gem. He made our night. Professional and engaging. He’s an asset to the restaurant. Run, don’t walk, to a great lunch or dinner, and ask for Jeremy!!!

As always, the food was the Star of the night. Best Osso Bucco we’ve had, and the saffron risotto just made the meal even better. I was a little surprised that the restaurant didn’t bring a complimentary dessert as we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, and most places normally do that?

This was our first time to dine at Aba and it won't be our last! We loved everything about it: the food was excellent with large portions so that we took half our meal home; the service was world-class and the venue is beautiful. We enjoyed the whipped feta and greek salad appetizers, the salmon and chicken kebabs and the date cake with caramel. The only negative to Aba is the parking situation - it costs $23 to park for 2 hours in the attached garage. That's not outrageous for Austin but is still a lot!

Second visit to The StoreHouse and if and when we visit Bastrop again we will return for another great meal. Our server, Erica, was outstanding; available when we needed her but never hovering. The night’s special was really good and was enjoyed by 2 of the 4 in our party. The other 2 in our party had the rib eye cooked to their perfection. Kudos to the chef! Thank you Store House for a perfect meal!!
