Restaurants near Barrington Bog Nature Preserve

The staff was attentive and friendly. The food tasty. The restaurant was crowded so lots of people talking making the room loud and hard to hear others at our table.

Went for dinner, and we had a table at the window with a pleasant view of the lake however it was very hard to talk between ourselves as it was very loud. I would go back for lunch as it isn’t as loud then. Also, they should consider putting cushions on the metal chair seats for comfort. Menu is small and I think has stayed the same since opening, might be good to offer “specials” that change periodically to keep their food offerings interesting. I would recommend the hot honey chickens sandwich. Salmon was cooked well but could have had a little more sauce. The pork entree was quite large. Server was attentive.

Great tuna tartar wonderful Marilyn crabcakes and also fillet Crostini , wonderful wine and great service by Kelsi. they also brought a birthday dessert

We ran ahead of schedule by about two hours and popped in to see if they could accommodate us and they did! The food was great, the server was decent. We did sit very close to a loud family which didn’t make sense because there were a lot of tables open. The only frustration was I booked the reservation based on an email I received stating the specials for the day but they didn’t have those specials on a menu available. We were able to order off the special online menu anyway, but found that to be strange. For a good pizza place, the offer really good filet mignon! I had medallions with the surf and turf.

Been there two or three times now food is excellent. Their steaks not so much disappointed in that. Still would go back, but not ordering the steak as it does not meet expectations
