The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats.     Can I just say that when we arrived at the restaurant they had no idea about our reservation and they hadn’t even heard of OpenTable?! Luckily they had a table for us, but it’s a bit concerning that their restaurant is on your app to make a booking but they aren’t aware of this.

    What a great time we had me and the misses went shopping, then fancied some food what can I say the food was great, the price was amazing, and the drinks temperatures were nice and cool and refreshing, the team that was on were brilliant nice and friendly. Thank you for a great time.

    was a nice meal, main door left open so food got cold fast from draught. seating tight. took list of drinks and put into till first, paid bill but was short on the actual drink unless pointed out. Apart from that overall a very good night.
