When new restaurants come to Dayton, it’s a big deal and it raises hopes for something new, upscale, and offering a chef inspired menu that brings new flavors, textures, and themes to the table. And, don’t forget the libations! A solid cocktail sets the tone for the evening, mess that up and that is like the first strike. Surprisingly, Bistecca and The Ardent hit a four room homer for us. Dinner and drinks transported us to a different plateau where our “Dayton” expectations were not just beaten but were trampled and left in the dust as Bistecca’s dishes and cocktails rocketed by with no regrets. The menu, the delivery, the presentation, and the taste were incredible. From the first sip and the first bite to the last. Impeccable! The location is great, the ambiance reminds of London, New York, and other fine cities, Seats are comfortable, it’s a little loud but honestly, we didn’t notice it once dinner was served, we had no trouble conversing and we enjoyed the music. Our hostesses, wait staff, and servers are new and learning but - they want to be there and they wanted us to enjoy our evening! They were friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. My wife had the salmon dish and loved every bite. I had the Kansas City sirloin and a side of fingerling potato’s to share. As I said earlier, perfect from the first bite to the last. Yum! Desert was a delight as well. Olive oil cake with a very tasty mildly candied peach on the side and a subtle dab of whipped cream infused with a wonderful but hard describe flavor. So good, sooo good. We highly recommend Bistecca! Hope to see you there.

Thai 9 has the absolute best Thai food and sushi in Dayton!! They have a great menu with lots of options. The cocktail menu and beer & wine menu offers a variety of alcoholic beverages. We had great service and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.
