Since 1996 in Cruz Bay, St. John. A Favorite of locals, loyal repeats and new guests. We just moved to our new beach location as La Tapa Plage in the Wharfside Hotel Village in March of 2022, still featuring the same interesting ever changing menu including fresh local seafood, organic greens & herbs form Coral Bay, flavors with a touch of Spain & France (Basque Country), Germany and Caribbean. Our goal is to make you feel welcome, cozy and inspired by our great wines, delicious food, good service in a beautiful atmosphere. ---Open for dinner service at 5PM Friday through Wednesday. For parties larger than 6, please call the restauarant at 340-693-7755.---We will be open for Thanksgiving, but closed on Christmas Day.-**We do not have high chairs or booster seats. If you need either, we do have bench seating in the dining area that work's best for small children. Please request bench seating when making your reservation.**

But Chef Vinny wanted a space where friends and visitors alike could come and enjoy his incredible flavors in an unpretentious setting with an amazing view of the sea. A place with the tastes of a Michelin Star but the feel of HOME. And, in June of 2024, STJ Hideaway was born in Cruz Bay....In October of 2024, the name was changed to STJ Speakeasy in response to a Cease & Desist order from Hull Bay Hideaway on St. Thomas. We legally owned the name STJ Hideaway but in order to avoid a long legal battle, we re-branded. But still, in this space, you can Hide Away...And Speak Easy!

    We enjoyed an outstanding meal at Dave & Jerry’s. The service by Morgan was superb. Excellent steaks, perfectly prepared. Sides were very good as well.

    We came for the 4th and got a perfect table to watch the show! The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive considering how busy they were. The food! We got the poke bowls-I had the tuna and my husband got the ceviche bowl. I preferred the tuna over his. It was the best poke bowl I had ever had. He also got the Cajun roll and I had one piece and it was good, he loved it. Overall it was a wonderful meal, great atmosphere and excellent service

    Contrary to recent reviews we were seated and our orders taken immediately. The server was attentive abd wanted to insure we were happy and content. Our only issue was my order was held up in the kitchen so my husband's meal was served as I awaited mine. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was totally worth waiting for. It had an incredible heat infused in the sauce abd the shrimp were delicious and plentiful. My husband's Mahi rubbed was good but could have been served on more appetizing toasted bread. All in all, I would go back. The wine choices were good and my Urgency Pinot Noir was delicious
