Lovely meal, great choice, prices have gone up but large portions and good quality. Staff are friendly and attentive. Restaurant is decorated beautifully. We go monthly and always have a great experience.

Great service. Great food. We were early evening diners. Restaurant not busy, hence lower ambience rating. Decor 👍 though.

It was amazing from start to finish , food was absolutely gorgeous and beautifully presented , staff were lovely and friendly , definitely recommend!

During a short break at the Black Bull we had two very good evening meals there. On our first night it was Curry Night - top notch food, fresh, tasty - my lamb rogan josh & my wife's Keralan fish curry both excellent (as was the onion bhaji, nothing like ones you get from a supermarket!). On our last night it was the a la carte menu, and that was a special meal - high quality, excellent presentation, really enjoyable. The starters & dessert were very good, my wife's monkfish and my venison both superb. The Black Bull definitely deserves its reputation for excellent food.
