This was my first time eating at Chives, and I will definitely be back! Loved the atmosphere inside, warm and casual. Service was great, and the food was outstanding! I had the duck frites and it was one of the best duck preparations I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Chives for a nice dinner out.

I had the wisco burger and my partner had the cavatelli with tomatoes and both we're delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly and seasoned great, and the cavatelli tasted so fresh. Only meh point were the home made chips taste like bag chips, so I'd go with a different side, but everything else was great.

We stayed at a five star Chicago hotel early in September. One night we dined at the hotel. I had a steak, and it was very good. No complaints. Last night my wife and I both had the filet mignon at Barringer’s and agreed that it was outstanding. It was much better than the Chicago steak I’d had nearly a month earlier. The restaurant is very nice. The service was a little slow—the restaurant was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday evening. Next time in Fish Creek, we will both order Barringer’s filets.

We were seated as soon as we got there, a few minutes before our reservation. Everyone was very pleasant, Thomas was excellent as our waiter. The brushetta was delicious, the steaks, potatoes and asparagus were perfect. I got the Bleu cheese and Dijon mustard ribeye, my wife got the ribeye with garlic chive butter, I recommend them both! The complimentary (it was my birthday) chocolate mocha cake was amazing. I was apprehensive about going because of the prices but I'd go back in a heartbeat, the experience was worth every penny.
