El restaurante La Masseria se inspira en las antiguas casas de campo fortificadas de la región italiana de Puglia, llamadas "masseria". El chef ejecutivo y copropietario, Pino Coladonato, creció en una granja de Puglia. Allí debía comer lo que había, pero pronto se cansó del puré de frijoles y decidió ocuparse él de la cocina, ideando nuevas formas de utilizar los mismos pocos ingredientes. Ahora, aunque tiene ingredientes ilimitados para elegir, las habas, los garbanzos y las lentejas siguen siendo un elemento central en muchos de sus platillos principales. Tapas originated in Andalucia, a Southern province of Spain, and are considered a fundamental way of life. These tasty small dishes are traditional Spanish dishes found in every bar, cafe, restaurant, and home. A tapa is an appetizer or snack in Spanish cuisine that can be combined to make a full meal and can be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic) or patatas bravas). We wanted to bring this culinary experience to the heart of East Greenwich creating a shareable experience, transporting our guests to Southern Spain with a variety of diverse flavors and wine pairings that will entice their tastebuds.
