Landmark Restaurant - The Warwick Melrose Hotel Dallas
Head to The Landmark Restaurant and The Library, inside the Warwick Melrose Dallas, for sizzling new dishes and cocktails. The new seasonal menus will be offered for a limited time only and feature items that showcase the bold flavors of Texas
Excellent food, presentation and a very good wine list. The service was unobtrusive and efficient. We would definitely return here again.
I LOVE Landmark. I take my son here for all their brunches. They are the best and so beautiful.
lunch was not good, I guess you only go for dinner
A favorite, with classic decor and the rare restaurant you can look out the windows and see live greenery. Always quiet and serene. A great evening to start at the Library bar and end here.
Slightly disappointing. Our Easter brunch reservation was at 2pm and clearly toward the end of service at 3:30. Bacon was not replenished, eggs benedict was tepid and no gluten-free dessert options (how easy is a flourless chocolate anything). Wide variety of items -- fewer and more attention may have more successful. Ambience was nice but not enough to overcome the mentioned flaws.
Easter brunch. They were very accommodating, had increased our reservation and they made sure to add seats seamlessly. Great food, service was good as well. Loved our experience.
Excellent food and attentive service!
We had reservations for Easter Brunch scheduled for 9:00AM originally because that's what Open Table gave us so close to the date. The restaurant was very accommodating as the hostess called me about 5 days ahead of time and asked if I wanted to move to 11:00AM because that's when brunch actually started. That worked out great for our plans! The service was very good. My glass was never empty and very seldom did plates pile up. I was expecting a bit better quality of food for the price as it was highly rated. Not many of the hot dishes were very good, but the fresh seafood was delightful. Probably won't go again, but overall good.
Went to Landnark for Easter Brunch. The food was excellent. Good variety of choices. Recommend the Warwick holiday brunches.
Excellent destination for brunch. Food was exceptional, as was the service. Will definitely return.
Jackie was great! She and her coworker were very nice. The atmosphere was very nice and quite. The library was a great place as well. Love the music and atmosphere as well. Will come again.
Friendly staff and great food, would highly recommend!
Food wasn’t very good and the service was sloppy.
Super fancy, delicious food, great service, top of line. Great for a date or occasional nice dinner. Pricey.
Great Valentine's night dinner. Attentive service. Great food in a historical setting.
Food was good nothing extraordinary or fantastic. A bit dated unlike the pictures. Service was good. It was quiet enough for a conversation.
Gene was awesome. Took great care of us.
Family dinner handled with outstanding service.
Food was exquisite.
Incredibly slow service even though customers only filled four or five tables - 40 minutes from sit down until 3 salads arrived at the table. Food was average. Prices were a bit more than moderate. The Landmark fills a need for hotel guests but for those like me who work in a nearby office, there are better choices for a business lunch.
Loved the salmon on the Melrose salad. Came with a friend for lunch and it’s a great place for quiet conversation and exquisite service.
Eggs Benedict were superb!
Great place for a business lunch - quiet, stately elegance but not stuffy, pretentious or expensive. Would also be perfect for a ladies lunch
Excellent all around, so much so we'll be back next week! Keep up the good work.
We visited Landmark Cafe on New Year's Day for breakfast/brunch. Service was attentive and unobtrusive. We both had the Eggs Benedict, which was prepared as it should be, but rarely is, with the muffin lightly toasted and the poached eggs not overcooked. We contemplated the new year in the quiet, lovely environs of the historic Landmark. Would recommend the Landmark for a special occasion or any time you want to feel special and pampered. Thank you for a lovely brunch.
We were there for New Years Eve. They were totally not prepared. Food and atmosphere were great but almost THREE HOURS for dinner. Very very slow.
Having made a point to reserve early for the Christmas brunch, I was very upset when I arrived with my family, 5 of us in total, 10 minutes early for our reservation and the host moved us from table 78, in the ballroom to table 110 in a conference room, furthest from the food and looking like a event room at the holiday inn.
Part of the reason that I had booked the Landmark was the wonderful ambience that I had enjoyed on several visits before to the Library Bar and dinner at the hotel. I have also used the hotel in the past for business events. The food was very nice and the staff were attentive and helpful.. certainly I can not complain about that... but I am very very dismayed to have been moved from a room that had Christmas ambience, was where we originally seated and basically shoved to the back of the hotel ( very front room).
I also might add that my 75 year old mother who has mobility issues was with us, seen by both hosts at the front and with this change in location, she was not able to get to and from the table to the buffet...nota problem, we have dealt with this before.
Over all, we had a lovely time as we enjoyed the day as a family... However I will think twice before I book or recommend the Landmark again
The Melrose has become a Christmas family tradition. If it were possible to give 6 stars I would! The setting is beautifully decorated, the food beyond delicious and the service was impeccable! We will be making Christmas reservations as soon as they open!
Not as special as it used to be. No bar at lunch and it was a Christmas Eve lunch. We could only get basic drinks nothing on the specialty cocktails menu was available for our lunch.
Was very quiet and not super Christmas-y
I have met a small group of friends here for several years for our annual holiday get-together. We tend to go on a night that's not too busy so we have time to visit and enjoy the food and atmosphere. This year, the food seemed even more delicious than ever. Two of us ordered the roasted pork tenderloin, and both agreed it was outstanding. The other diners gave similar rave reviews to their choices. The service was attentive without being overwhelming. Although we did linger after dinner, and the restaurant was not crowded, we never felt rushed to leave. The Landmark continues to be top of our list for special occasions. Thank you for enhancing our annual tradition of good food and lively conversation with great friends.
Service and food was great. The atmosphere was okay. A little noisy for only a few people in the dinning room. Was a special occasion for a Birthday and noted it in the Opentable reservation but none of the staff acknowledged the Birthday. I even had a card that was laying on the table. This was disappointing.
The dining experience was very good except that there was no hostess to greet or seat us despite having a reservation. An apologetic waiter finally seated us.
Great service, nice atmosphere, and excellent food.
Rafael and his assistant were professional, helpful, warm and discreet, allowing us a wonderful visit and private conversation and celebration in leisurely fashion. Food wonderful and love the homey elegance of the Melrose and its Landmark Restaurant.
I reserved a table and received confirmation via Open Table, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed for a private function. No communication at all about it from the restaurant before or after the incident; they deserve Zero Star.
Five Stars to the manager of the Library who very kindly took us in and offered us drinks while we looked for another place for dinner.
We went to the Landmark Restaurant with family for a early brunch on Thanksgiving day and while the brunch was far from inexpensive the experience was exceptional. What was probably most impressive was the abundant range of choice, from a more breakfast-based brunch to a more dinner-based brunch. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and continuously supplied. The setting was, of course, marvelous. But so, too, was the service. We had to shift an initial reservation to accommodate the travel plans of part of our party. We were called back promptly and our reservation expeditiously revised. Once there, staff were courteous and attentive. Everyone in our party agreed it was one of the best Thanksgiving experiences we had had recently, and it is certainly one we would recommend and would consider again in the future.
As others have mentioned, we found it odd to be so empty on a Friday night. It didn’t impact our experience. The food was all excellent and the service on point. One note though: it’s not a quick dinner. Apps, dinner and dessert took a little over 2 hours. If you have the time and don’t mind a leisurely meal, it’s a good choice.
Gene was absolutely amazing. He provided excellent service!
We went there for Sunday brunch for my husband’s birthday. We were in town for a few days from SC, but used to live in Dallas.
We have fond memories of the Landmark, and we decided to go there as part of a day of celebration.
The food and environment were both excellent, and the service by Gene and the hostess, Sarah, superb!!
