First off, despite staying the night and telling them I was having brunch on this day we get there and there's no brunch. We were told it's only on Sundays. No where is that indicated that it is solely on Sundays when I call they said it was Mother's Day brunch. Anyway, they need to make it clear. However, Sarah saved the day and got us breakfast. I was panicking and she was able to pull together a breakfast for us so we could still eat. ❤️ I do hope that they get back on their feet post-covid and back to great.

First time back since COVID so it was fairly empty.. about 5 tables occupied. Took my 93 year mother for Mother’s Day lunch. I had a reservation and had asked for a nice window table. When we entered, the woman at the reservation desk was totally unfriendly. When I told her I had a reservation and had requested a table by a window, of which there were several, she took us to a window table BY THE KITCHEN that looked out on an active construction site. The lighting for lunch was low and made the whole restaurant look dreary. Our waiter was pleasant, but seemed stressed and was sweating profusely. We sat for about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence. I’m not giving it a lower rating because my sweet mother, who has Alzheimer’s, thought it was all wonderful...and that’s all I really cared about. Probably won’t go back.

Fine if you are a hotel guest looking for a convenient bite, but not some place you'd want to go out of your way for. Indifferent (borderline hostile) service, strangely stiff, possibly frozen pancakes, valet parking that will make you wish you were sitting in traffic on the freeway instead.

The valet was rude and asked us to park our own cars while laughing at us. The valet also made inappropriate comments to my family with 5 children about our appearance and background claiming “here comes miss america” laughing at us and making snide remarks to my party of 11. We dress up for holidays so we were confused why we were profiled as “miss America” and treated like trash. Our reservation was an hour and a half behind upon arrival with no accommodations made. We had to eat at the bar area on banquet tables that the kind bar staff had to set up makeshift in the middle of the library bar. We were told we had a set menus as we did at thanksgiving and that was not true. I have had great experiences in the past but after this last visit we will never be visiting again. No manager came to apologize and we waited two hours with children. Absolutely disgusted.

Actually had to visit the Library Bar for service. I was cheerfully accommodated. The menu was somewhat limited but offered a good variety.. The hotel is especially an escape from the recent severe winter weather and continued issues in the area.

Due to weather issues breakfast was served instead of lunch. Under the circumstances that was fine. I was happy to be accommodated. The staff was very limited. Looking forward to coming back soon once things stabilize.

Came here for Christmas day brunch. We did not see the waiter until about 10 minutes after being sat. And they took a long time to bring, drinks, food and check. It was not busy so I'm not sure why it took so long. For the atmosphere and location we thought the brunch would be great. It was not good at all and even left my wife feeling sick. I would consider coming back to give lunch or dinner a chance but not very likely.

I love the Melrose Hotel and typically love the Landmark Restaurant. However, our experience on Thanksgiving Day was disappointing. They sat us at what was essentially a cocktail table by the doorway into the restaurant rather than seating us IN the restaurant. They weren't that busy so the definitely could have given us a better table. The service was also a bit off that day, and they need to have some soft music playing in the background. Music would definitely add to the ambiance. I will continue to go to the Melrose as frequently as I have in the past. This day was a anomaly, but the fact that it was such a special occasion made it all the more disappointing.

Made a reservation for 2:00 p.m. on my Birthday through Open Table. Arrived at 1:40 p.m, and it was closed. Melrose Hotel desk agent was a bit rude when we asked about it not being opened. I have always loved the landmark at the Melrose, but after this Incident I may not return. Do not know why the Landmark was still taking reservations through open table when they knew they would be closed.

Pro: appetizer and dessert was great. Very nice room.
Con: room was cold, ordered MW steak, came out MR. Waiter was scarce so instead of trying to send it back switched steaks with husband. Waiter showed us what he wrote down...I NEVER eat MR-his lack of attention was the issue.
To be fair, the manager was very nice and comped dessert and drinks. And the restaurant had more than one large party. Would I go again? Yes.

Wait until the construction is done. The food was good but not amazing and the service was a little on the slow side. The acoustics in the restaurant are terrible and you can’t hear the person next to you but you can hear groups on the other side of the restaurant.

We had the pre-fix menu for Valentines day. I ordered the beef tenderloin and my husband got the Ahi Tuna. They were both very delicious. The dessert was amazing too.

We had high expectations and the food was actually pretty good... but the service was PAINFUL. The staff were friendly, but so poorly staffed and took an hour for entrés. For a former fine restaurant, our server had the knowledge and skill of a weak Denny's server. They made mistakes that were too many to count. Brought the wrong wine, had NO idea about the wine list and I had to get up and find someone 3-4 times because something was not right. We WATCHED 4 other groups of 4-6 people each DEPART before ordering because the server took so long to either A) Bring their drinks, or B) Greet them. >>>Management needs to start with a whole new staff. Really a shocking experience for a "nice hotel" and what was intended to be fine dining. Ouch!

Me and 7 coworkers chose this restaurant for some steak. When we arrived we found out that they only had certain menu options for Valentine’s Day. All of the options sounded amazing so we continued with ordering drinks and then our three course entrees. The service was impeccable. Everything was phenomenal. If your glass was half empty, an attendant would refill water immediately. They cleared plates once completed in such a timely fashion. The food itself was incredible. The steak perfectly cooked, sides were delicious and desserts were my favorite. Our whole team enjoyed this evening and the ambience. Thank you for an incredible night.

I’ve had many great breakfast in the Landmark but this was the first time for dinner. Had Valentines dinner with my wife who was with me on a business trip.

We waited 1.25 hours for our first course— which was a prefix soup everyone in the restaurant had. Service was kind but incredibly slow— we even had to get up to get our own water at one point. Very disappointing, but hopefully just a very off night as we’ve been before and enjoyed it.

My family always enjoys attending the Christmas brunch at the Landmark Restaurant at the Warwick Hotel and this year was no exception. The food and atmosphere were perfect for a lovely afternoon. The service, however, was a little slow in the beginning, but it did improve as the meal progressed. Initial drink orders were slow to be taken and we had to find a server to take care of a late-arriving guest. But this certainly will not keep us from returning.

Having been to The Library Bar at the Melrose numerous times, I was looking forward to a nice dinner before going there again with my wife and two other couples for a surprise 50th birthday celebration. The service was abysmal, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We were at least happy with the food.

Outstanding selection from the fresh seafood, freshly prepared omelets, salads, ham, turkey, pork loin, dressings, sweet potato casserole, mash potatoes, breads-rolls and desserts. Only suggestion would use a better orange juice, taste like grapefruit juice in the Mimosas. Wait staff excellent, live music perfect. Check in perfect and seated early.

We've been going to the Landmark Restaurant-The Warwick Melrose Hotel Dallas for many years and for most Holidays Buffets. Thanksgiving 2019 was outstanding. Every food item was at the temperature it was supposed to be at and everything was fresh and delicious. The only thing I miss is the fresh Popovers that The Landmark hasn't baked for a number of years. We are pleased that The Landmark has improved the quality, freshness and temperatures of their Buffet and we applaud them for listening to previous years dissatisfaction. Congratulations on a job well done and cheerful and many servers to make things right! For $75.00 per person, plus a 20% tip, The Landmark should always be on top of their Holiday Buffets!
