Fabulous lunch and outstanding service. Manager also exemplified phenomenal service! Highly recommend! Roberto did a great job!
Rafael was wonderful in every way!
very good evening, extra attentive wait staff and especially nice restaurant for a hotel
we love the Landmark and the Melrose Hotel. A room and a fine dinner. Cant be beat!
We went for Valentine's Day Dinner. The food was surprisingly very good. The service was surprisingly horrible. All I can guess is the flu wiped out their entire wait staff because they had people serving they did not even work in the restaurant. It appeared they had about 3 waiters for 25-30 tables. We had to flag down someone to take our order, to get a wine list, to get a bottle of wine (something you think they would want to push). We got out bottle of wine and second after our second course, which arrived before the forgotten first course. Finally, after being at the table for 2 hours and 21 minutes I was able to get a waiter to come to our table to let them know they obviously forgot our entrees. The meal finally ended 3:10 after being seated. But it could have been worse, another table had been there for 30 minutes longer and was leaving just behind us. Food was very good especially for the price. Sadly, the landmark dropped it badly on the service.
Wow. CHEF Patrick and his team left me speechless at the quality of the food
The ambience , service , all great
Well surpassed my expectations. This restaurant could stand on its own...well above other top resturants
The place was almost empty, which is not a very good sign. The food did not impress in the least. Lobster mac& cheese was greasy, had an overpowering, unidentifiable flavor, and the bits of lobster were tough and fishy. Service was good. Could’ve been a nice dinner if the entrees were a lot better. Not worth the money and effort to get there.
What a great place to go for a quiet meal where you can easily hear the other people at your table. The food is tasty and well prepared and the wait staff is attentive.
Wonderful romantic quiet atmosphere, innovative menu choices, we enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese and the chicken and saffron risotto. Friendly service, highly recommend for everyday and special occasion
They were out of three of the first four wines we selected during a wine tasting event. These wines were on their regular menu. One should not run out of things that are printed on the menu especially during a winetasting event. If they had had more foresite they would have featured the wines at the tasting event.
Very good lunch - we really enjoyed the meal
It was empty though -- they were so good I was surprised
Glad to see it getting some business. The food is outstanding.
My kids and I visited the Landmark for the brunch buffet Christmas Day. The reviews that I read online gave it high marks, and it did not disappoint. The variety of foods was impressive and everything tasted delicious! The servers were friendly and prompt. The live piano Christmas music added to the already festive atmosphere.
We celebrated Christmas Eve with the whole family - great food, great service, great ambiance. We'll definitely be back again!
We had not been in the landmark for sometime and were looking forward to return. It was Christmas Eve. We were seated on time and promptly greeted by our waiter. Since it was a Sunday night, a fixed menu was offered, lobster tail or tenderloin. The presentation was pleasing to the eye, hot and delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
We dined here out of convenience since we we staying at the hotel. A decent wine list, decent service but the dishes were overloaded with salt. It wasn’t a good experience.
The food matched the elegant decor of the hotel. The food stayed hot through out the meal, only cooling a little by the end of the meal.
Rafael was an incredibly talented server and had a very good knowledge of the wine list.
Hands down, best club sandwich in town! Have the kitchen cut sandwich in fourths, though. Service is consistent, but a bit slow. Staff is friendly.
Were a little short staffed on our Sunday morning for brunch. Had reservations, but still needed to wait about 10 minutes to be sat. Then another 10 minutes to be approached by our waiter. Food was good though, and service was nice. Just needed some help this particular morning.
Nice place not too good service
Place was empty on Saturday night. Waiter couldn't remember wine order after two attempts, and then they were out of what we wanted. Food was OK. Chicken good, salmon just OK. Was never offered dessert, but wanted to leave by then anyway...
NO COMPLAINTS. THAT'S VERY DESCRIPTIVE OF OUR EXPERIENCES!
We dropped our son off at college and found the restaurant on Open Table. There were only two other tables eating with us so the service was great. The food very good. On the way out we stopped in The Library, the bar attached to the hotel. The live music was playing and the place was crowded.
I have been several times in the past few months, and it would be helpful if someone was at the front desk of the restaurant. I had to find a waiter to seat me. Otherwise, LOVE the Landmark!!
Restaurant Week menu was great. The steak was just right. The drunken berries was a great final course.
The old look to the hotel makes for an elegant dining location.
We went to celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary as well as our guests were celebrating their one month anniversary of getting married.
We just happened to dine during DFW Restaurant Week. The menu was fantastic. Lobster Thermador, Beef Fillet and a Lamb Shank. Everyone truly enjoyed their meals. Dessert was great, also. We also support the North Texas Food Bank, so the coincidence was greatly appreciated.
Reservation was made for the Library.
On arrival our table was already given to someone else and we had to leave this place.
The Melrose Salad & Asian Salad are very good . Reuben Sandwich is one of the best. New Servers are very good!
Great experience! I enjoyed the waffle! The atmosphere was great and although other people were eating near you it was quiet.
Very "Old Dallas" Landmark, quiet and elegant. We had a fabulous Sunday Brunch. Every item we ordered was prepared perfectly and tasted fabulous. We will definitely put this restaurant into the Sunday Brunch rotation.
The Brisket Sliders were very good! House Salad & Chicken with Arugula, Strawberry, & Feta was delicious! Server named (Nick or Rick) was excellent!!
Always a great option for a laid back, high quality dining experience
Years ago, my wife and I went to the Landmark for dates, and then special occasions with our family. It was wonderful. But our recent visit was different; we really miss the white tablecloths, the grand drapes, the exceptional service, and other touches that made it feel special. Still a good meal, but not quite the place it used to be.
This place is just the best! Loved their soup, it changes regularly. I had the rack of lamb and it very good. The restaurant takes you back to another time, love this place!
If you want to dine and have good conversation this is one of the best
This is the Best place to have a conversation while you dine. The food is great & the atmosphere is elegant.
Food is always good. Had to spend a few minutes hunting a waiter or hostess after arriving. That's never a good thing, but everyone is always friendly and warm.
We made a Mother's Day reservation for 4 for Mother's Day through Open Table, which the restaurant called back to confirm. We then increased the reservation to 7 with no problem. Everyone at the restaurant, including the telephone operator, the check-in hostess, and all of the waitstaff, were genuinely friendly. The quality, variety and abundance of food provided for our brunch was very good; it was nicely displayed and refreshed often. We were not rushed, and had ample time to enjoy our morning together in their beautiful, elegant facility. Highly recommend.
Delicious food and wonderful service - we always enjoy spending Easter at the Warwick.
The Warwick Melrose Hotel Easter Buffet seems to get smaller every year. Some of the food was very good; but, much of it was mediocre. They never have fresh rolls; always at least a day old and it is evident in the taste and texture of all their breads. The "Landmark Butter" whipped with granulated sugar is just too much; please give us back REAL butter and make the Breads and Rolls FRESH, early morning of the Holiday. DAY OLD BREAD is NEVER sold in stores; but, given away to the poor and starving. At a cost of $70.00 per person, plus the automatic added 20% tip for a waitress that was the only one in the Library Room and the taxes; a bill of almost $200.00 does seem a bit ridiculous for 2 individuals that just want to dress up pretty for Easter!
