Landmark Americana - City Ave. Ratings and Reviews
We were looking for a restaurant close to the Mann Center for Performing Arts. What a find....everyone was so nice upon arrival. Our server was so nice and attentive and it was only her second day.....she did a great job. We ordered Nachos & Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and they were awesome. We all got burgers and they were out of this world. The sweet potato fries with the cinnamon dipping sauce were heaven. And to top it off, we got the Banana Xango for dessert. It was a delicious dinner and it only took a few minutes to get to the Mann. I can't wait to go back.
Our server Asher was the best. This was our first time and we loved it. The wings were do die for so I'm sure we'll be back for those as well as other selections on the menu that we didn't have a chance to try. We say opposite the bar so it was quite (I think our tab;e was the one making the most noise) and our food was served hot and in a timely manner. Great place. We will be back.
My wife and l really enjoyed our supper at Landmark. My wife especially liked her salmon belt. She wants to go back and get it again. I had the Main Street burger, a burger with bacon and cheddar cheese. It was quite good... l actually liked the garlic parmesan fries a little more than the burger. Our server, Erin, did an excellent job. I observed the server for a group of 15 handle them expertly. Very good food, with a top notch staff.
I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for months. I finally decided to go with a date on valentines day/night and was very disappointed with the level of service. There were several empty seats and it was not a busy night. After being seated we waiting for a waiter/waitress to attend to us but it never happened. We were not even offered a glass of water. We were seated near the hallway to the kitchen where several servers walked back and forth passed us, looked at our table each time they passed and never even said hello. After 15 minutes of waiting we left and found someplace else to dine with much better service. on our way out I informed the hostess of the reason why we were leaving and all she said was she was sorry but never offered to make it right. Simply offering to get us a server right away in that moment would have made a difference. Very disappointed!
1) No staff greeted my party at the door to assign our RESERVED space until we tracked a server down and requested to see the manager. (Manager was prompt and attentive to honoring our reservations.)
2) The server was excellent. Somewhat forgetful of the basics (napkins, forks, etc) but very polite and accommodating.
3) the food was fair. I have definitely had better. Meal was served prompt (although someone in my party returned heir meal, as it appeared and tasted unappetizing).
4) There was a booked Sweet 16 party on one side of the restaurant which cut the sitting space in half. This also added to the already high noise volume. Tables were overcrowded and left and uncomfortable sitting and walking space.
5) A loud and disruptive DJ began to play music at 9pm which was overbearing. There were table games and trivia which created a lot of movement between tables while we were eating--this was very annoying. The music was blaring and discouraged conversation.
Honestly, I would not recommend nor return to this restaurant in the future.
I reserved online and I received my confirmation through email. When I called them they said that they didn't see my reservation.. I don't know maybe the girl was new or something. My girls and I went out for lunch to celebrate a birthday!! The wings were very good, the fries were a little salty(next time I'll just ask for no salt). THE DRINKS WERE NOT STRONG AT ALL:( You really could not taste the liquor: trash can or strawberry lemonade.) All of the waiters had on EAGLES Jerseys(which was so cool), the game was on that day. Our waiter was really nice, she let me have some candles for the cake that we had and I told her that I wanted the DJ to sing happy birthday, and they did!!
I have been to this Landmark location twice and both times I have had the same experience- good food but poor service. When I arrived both times I sat in the bar area and after waiting for 10 minutes I had to get the hostess or bartender to find the waitress for my table because I was never approached. Once the waitress arrived she took my drink order and then took forever to come back for my food order because she was busy chatting with other waitresses at a register. It was totally unprofessional! Once the food came the waitress was more attentive but that didn't make up for the fact that I had to get someone to track her down to wait on me to begin with. I will think twice about going to this location.
The worst landmark experience ever I have been going forever to landmark first and only time I well go back my 25th was horrible not also spend over 300 for the entire night at
Landmark! They also had me was 30mins to be seated. When I reserved my time for 15 people
My sisters and I made reservations for 14 guest a week prior to Mother's Day for this date 5/11. When we began ordering we were told they were out of many of the items that had advertised on their menu including Steak. This was upsetting to us because we planned this event based on their menu and surely you would think that on Mother's Day with reservations for large parties and it being a special day for many they could have properly planned and had adequate portions of food.
I have been to Landmark many of times. Every time I received good service. Except this time. The manger was performed horrible customer service towards us. He acted as if he did not want to help the waitress out with our orders. I don't think I will return.
This restaurant is located adjacent to SAint Joseph University Campus. Everything here is in the good to excellent category. My only complaint is that the table in the bar area where we were seated is next to a service area.Wait staff were constantly bumping into our chairs as theyred and exited this area. They continually aplogized but this table should be relocated and a screen placed in front of the service area so diners and bar patrons do not have an unanticipated floor show to watch of plates being scraped and stacked, debris trashed etc.
Went here on the suggestion of a friend. We were a few minutes late for our reservation but they were completely understanding and sat us right away. Nice place, nice staff, but at 8 they turned the music up so loudly I could no longer hear my friend sitting across from me and we were sitting in a quieter corner of the restaurant. Guess this is to benefit/draw in the college crowd.
Beer a d wine list was good. The waiter was nice but seemed a little overwhelmed. The food was upper scale bar/pub food and prices were ok.
My friend and I had a great time. It was my second time there and her first time at that particular Landmark location. She liked that ambience (lighting, openness) better than another Landmark spot. We both appreciated the service. Our waitress was wonderful. This experience was even better than my first one!
I gave the restaurant mostly GOOD for all categories. If you want your food hot, you have to order it that way. I know, that sounds ridiculous, but if you don't specify that you want your chili to arrive hot, it will arrive warm. The Management here can be summed up with one word: "meh." I just don't get the feeling that they care very much.
Management is very lacking in this restaurant. Waitresses have no problem vocalizing their displeasure with the managers.
I have visited the landmark on city ave server all times. However, my
Last visit was not positive. My party and I waited for an half
Hour before someone came over and greeted us. The services
Was slow and the drinks were water down. My fiancé food
Was cold and he had to sent it back several times. At the end of the night
The entire bill was incorrect with additional items that were added on.
In addition to this, I really like the landmark but my last visit with not an postive
Experience for me and my parties. I Wil not return back and I Wil encourage
Others not to visit this establishment .
This City line location is quite the "fan favorite" for fellow hawks. The energy is exuberant and the crowd, friendly. The servers did a masterful job making sure we were serviced quickly and often. The food, especially the apps were delicious. The nachos are outrageously good!
I met my friend here a few weeks ago just to talk and I fell in love with this place. On this occasion I had lunch with a friend. The place was just filling up and all you heard was music. We enjoyed a nice, comfortable conversation. The food and drinks were great. The price was right and the service drew a smile. I recommend Landmark Americana to everyone.
