The service was absolutely horrible! I had to track down my server by asking another person on the wait staff. I waited about 30 mins to even get served and then another 15 mins to receive the drink that I ordered. I did not seem like a priority to the service employees. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
Place was packed prior to a St. Joes game . Our first round of drinks we were told they were out of, but only after asking. So we ordered a different draft beer that arrived 10 mins after our food. Although, AFTER reading the reviews about Landmark, online, I almost didn't go. The reviews that I'd read, indicated that the service was slow, not attentive and just not good. Since I live in this Wynnfield neighborhood, and it was so close, we went anyhow. It was very good. The food was good and the service was also good. It was a Saturday evening and we didn't have any problems with the food or service. I would go back again.
Everything was good except for the salty artichoke dip and the margaritas filled to the top with ice understood the drinks were 3 bucks but still I've had quality cocktails at other restaurants for the same $$ and they were good try less ice. Then the waiter tried tho rush us out right after our second round of drinks because we asked for the to go boxes because we were finished eating but not yet done drinking. It was cool but truthfully probably never go back again.!!!
When we walked in there was no hostess to sit us just a sign saying seat yourself. Then we sat for about 10 minutes without menus and no one approached to help. There were multiple tables with plates and food left on them without being cleared. The floors were sticky. After asking for menus we finally received service but after recieving food had to ask for silverware and condiments.
Took close to an hour for some of our food to arrive. Once the food arrived only half of it came. Two items took another 15 mins to come out. We were a party of ten people in during a slow period of time. The GM came out and was less then helpful. Taking off 50 dollars from out bill was merely a slap in the face for terrible food and even worse service. Most of our meals were cold or could be clearly be seems as siting in the window for a prolong period. Our sever was never around taking 20 mins to deliver a lemonade. The sever was so bad as having to be tracked down myself to turn in the check. Lastly what GM wear a dirty apron to a table when requested.
I had a great server,the waiter was the best he's awesome but the food was horrible and cold,I won't come back here I'll stick to the university city one,I'm sorry I had this problem and I was looking for the food to be great cause it was my 35th bday but very disappointing and the drinks were very much watered down smh
I have been here one other time for my daughters birthday dinner and each time the waitresses were very professional and patient. The food is delicious and once the DJ gets there I'm all the way in my element. I love the setting and I would recommend it to anyone.
Dinner was ok. I order seafood bique, salmon sandwich and subbed fries for brussel sprouts. Bisque was watery and runny-not bisque-y at all. Brussel sprouts were cold and charred. Salmon sandwish was dry. We were seated under a speaker and asked for it to be turned down but they couldn't. They also couldn't accomodate us by moving us to another table. At 9pm, the BLAST music that literally shook us out our chairs. We ended dinner early and probably won't be back to that location again. The one by Drexel is nicer. Our service was A1 though.
From my groups experience, service was teribble! Wings were good but not true to the flavor asked for. Our garlic/pepper wings taste like an Asian ginger sauce. Our beer on draft was flat and warm. The French fries were good. Overall, this was our first time here and it was a disappointment.
We went with a 15 month old child who needed a high hair . They were only putting people in the bar area. The bar area is only high top booths and tables. That room cannot accommodate a highchair or someone with disabilities. The manager was very reluctant to open up the dining area for us to have appropriate seating. He approached us very rudely and didn't introduce self just " what's the problem" in a harsh tone. I pointed out my child and how can a child that requires a high chair eat in this room. He agreed a told me that the other dining room was closed for the night because he was fixing something . He then reluctantly opened a 3rd space that had appropriate seating for families. I would have expected more professional behavior from a manager and a restaurant to think it through before the close off a whole dining room while they open for business. We went at 5:30 which is a very appropriate time for eating with small children. This is our 4th time at this location and our 3rd bad experience . We have experience bad waitresses to bad managers now.
It was my best friend's birthday and I picked the wrong place to go. I can't think of a reason to go back here except but to take advantage of the wing or drink special. The cheesesteak rolls are horrible but I ate mine like a trooper anyway because they were edible. My friend cound't eat hers because of the hot sauce. She missed that on the menu. Our waitress was nice for the most part but when my friend tried to send the rolls back, she gave her a hard time about it, questioning her as to why she didn't notice the ingredients on the menu. It quickly became a ghetto situation. She said that she had to get "approval" to take the food back. Really? That's a bad look Landmark! Train your waitresses to take the food back right away and not to question the customer! She didn't tell us her name and she stayed away too long. She forgot my second drink order as well. Actually I notice that when you order drinks here, they take a long time to get to the table. It seems like getting up and going to the bar would be the fastest way to get a drink from the table. I get better customer service at Applebees. I thought that Landmark was supposed to be a step up!
On a positive note, the crab cake was delicious and had a good amount of crab in it for the low price that I paid. I want to give this place another try because it is so close to my house. In fact, it is the closest restaurant to my home that deals with Open Table which is a big plus for me. I have been told that the 40th Street location is better on all levels. I might have to make the switch.
We loved the Landmark in Wayne and wondered why it closed...Great pub food; the BEST soft pretzels! Had a large group and all happy with the apps, drinks, and dinner. Service a bit slow for not being crowded. Perhaps because its across from a college they are use to serving college kids who may not care as much. We have been to the Wayne one with just 2 people and it was perfect for that too! Wish it never closed, but still have this one as an option just not as nice inside.
