We were on a trip staying in Alexandria and this restaurant was recommended to us. Absolutely amazing food from the appetizers to the dessert!!! Best stuffed veal pasta ever!!!! We will absolutely eat here again next time we are in the area.
Too noisy! Ruined the evening, although the food and service was excellent. Restaurant managers must start telling loud mouthed customers to pipe down or leave.
Excellent meal and service. Been there before and as before, impeccable service and dinner. One of our favorites!
Overall, the food was amazing! However, I felt really bad for our waiter who was an older gentleman who had over 8 tables to tend to with several patrons per table. In addition, the main course arrived after over an hour although delicious my fiancé and I were starving!
However, I would dine here again because the food was delicious.
Food took forever to come. Over an hour for main dishes
Great food. Great service.
Overall, Landini’s was an enjoyable dining experience. The food was good, but the service was a little slow; likely just our waiter as guests the arrived after us were served their meals before us. Good bread to hold us over until our meals arrived. The ambiance is good; soft music in the background to permit conversation and the wood grains and lighting was adequate to feel comfortable. Not bad, but a little more timely service will make it even better.
Landini Brothers was GREAT as always! It's definitely one of my go-to places in Old Towne.
Classic, authentic, Italian restaurant, located towards the end of King St.
Landini's has been our go-to favorite for decades now, but the last few times I have been there the service has been a bit slow.
wonderful hostess that was very welcoming - we had adjusted our reservation time, and she balanced our early arrival, etc. excellent servers and food at landinis -
Had a wonderful Easter/Birthday dinner, can't wait to go back!!!
What a great Easter Brunch! The food was great but the service was amazing. We were not rushed and the servers were so polite.
Thank you for a special day!
We always love to dine at Landini Brothers when we're in town. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. It never lets us down.
Landini Brothers is one of our favorite spots in Old Town. The food is always very good and the service is, as well. There is a reason that this restaurant has lasted so long in this competitive restaurant environment!
Great! Always the best!
Everything was perfect, as always. The food was delicious; service was very attentive; and the ambiance was lovely.
Warm, friendly, comfortable place with very good food and great service
Good and service were excellent
Food was good. Portions were large. Bread was very good. Menu posted outside still had old (lower) price for what we ordered: Waiter shrugged, charged higher price in new menu. Otherwise great service.
My wife and I are Alexandria natives, but just tried this long standing restaurant for the first time. We were very pleased. The prices are fair for the quality of food, the decor and ambiance are just right, and staff make you feel comfortable, yet elegant. If you want to make a night feel special, this is a solid choice. We will return. Portions are generous, although sides are mostly a-la-carte. Don't pass up the sautéed spinach as a side dish!! Although we sat at a table, it looks like a very respectable bar arrangement as well.
A pleasant atmosphere. A varied menu. A wine list with reasonable price/value.
Each of the four of us went different directions on the menu, and none disappointed. The service was friendly, but a bit slow (perhaps they were understaffed, which is not good). Nevertheless, we gave it 4 thumbs up because of the food quality.
I had the Scaloppine di Vitello alla Calabrese. It was great. I could cut the veal with my fork. My husband and our friend had the Scaloppa alla Parmigiana, and mentioned their veal was a little tough.
Other than that, everything was great. Really like the way the servers are attentive, but don't hover. We were there for three hours and had a wonderful time visiting with our friends. Desserts were wonderful. Wine was good. I had the Franciscan Merlot.
Been coming here for decades. The staff is always friendly. This last time however there was a large table next to mine where I was trying to have a nice romantic dinner with my best girl. The people at the other table were drunk, loud and profane. I went to take a picture of my friend and one of the women jumped into the picture and laughed as she "Photo-Bombed" the picture. When I objected one of the men at the table just stared at me waiting for me to say something so there could be a fight. Bad for all around!
We have dine here previously. Our son, with whom we were there celebrating his 50th birthday, lives in Olde Towne. I have no doubt that we and others in our family will return in the future. We have highly recommended it to our friends as well.
We’ve been dining at Landini’s during the last 30 years. Our most favorite restaurant in Old Town. Service has always been as good as the food.
Reliable quality fish and veal. Experienced wait staff and friendly neighborhood charm in a fine dining setting. Our go to for a splurge.
We adore Landini Brothers and never miss an opportunity to treat our out-of-town guests to a meal there. For some unknown reason, our most recent visit was a tad bit disappointing although overall we all enjoyed ourselves. The service was a little slow in starting. We sat for 5 minutes before being greeted which was a bit awkward. However once our server approached us, the service was as good as we always expect. The food was good, however the tomato and avocado weren't top notch as usual on the appetizer. Our guests seemed to enjoy their entrees. So overall it was good but not really a memorable meal. Won't stop us from going back. Cannot beat the location, ambiance, and selection of wine.
Over the years, Landini Bros has continued to be a wise choice.
Amazing time as always at Landini Brothers! The service and food are wonderful.
Best Italian restaurant in Old town Alexandria!! I go every chance I get!!
Overall, I was very, very disappointed in this restaurant and the ratings certainly do not match the food nor the service we received. We dined there this past Thursday and the waiter forgot to bring two of our four meals. Tables around us who arrived after we did were already eating there meals. We had to ask the waiter AGAIN about the status of our food. Additionally, when the food finally arrived, my niece pulled-out a long black hair from her pasta. The manager came out and apologized and then we had to order and wait again for another pasta dish. - and of course we had to pay for this meal and inconvenience!!!
- Water refills would be nice once in awhile too!
Additionally, my chicken dish was nothing special or unique. Going to Olive Garden instead would have been more rewarding on this special occasion. Bottom-line, we will NEVER recommend this restaurant to our family and friends.
Landini's is a regular stop on our Old Town restaurant rotation. We were with friends from out-of-town (owners of several hotel properties). They were blown away by the ambiance, and were happily surprised when the waiter made off-the-menu - and off-the-specials - recommendations. This is an Old Town gem.
Gorgeous setting inside. All the waiters were super attentive and never had to wait for anything which I appreciate. They won’t even let you pour your own glass of wine from the bottle and never let your water become empty which I like!! The bread to start was amazingly fresh and delicious and warm which I loved! Our mains were pretty good not the best of the best but were good enough to keep coming back! Bravo to your wait staff they are some of the best I’ve seen.
We have been dining at Landini's for over 30 years and it never fails to impress. Landini's offers an interesting array of menu specials nightly and a nice selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle. The bread on the table is the perfect starter with the house olive oil.
The experience could not have been better!!!! Birthday celebration for my sister. Everything was PERFECT!!!!
I brought 2 friends for one friend’s birthday as she said she loved lobster dish there. She has artichoke appetizer and said it was very small and lobster was chewy which is unacceptBlr at $45. He said his veal was chewey. I had chicken ceaser salad which was good. My rum n coke was $12 and a split of champagne $25. Our bill was over $160 minus tip (200 with tip) for 3 people and they didn’t like their food! I wouldn’t go back.
Another great meal at Landini Brothers. The pasta with lobster was amazing! This restaurant is always consistent...great service and great food.
Food was good but a bit overpriced. I made the reservation through OpenTable and indicated it was a birthday celebration. I really appreciated that they decorated the table with some birthday confetti and served a slice of tiramisu with a candle. Nice atmosphere.
I have been a fan and client of Landini Brothers for probably 30 plus years. Great neighborhood bar and restaurant and also great for groups and special occasions. Terrific staff, friendly service and special food. Can’t miss!!
