   We have been going to this restaurant for years and always had a great experience. While the food was still great, the service during this visit was sub-par. First we were seated at a table right next to the bar with servers going in and out. It took over 30 minutes to get a cocktail - and we had to write down instructions to the server on how to make it (it was NOT a rare cocktail) - and it still was not great. Water classes were not refilled. And my entree looked like it has been dropped when it was served to me. Hoping this was a one-off bad experience - glad it was not our first time there, or we would not go back.

   A fan of Landini Brothers for over 40 years. The food is always first rate. A favorite of mine are the mussels in red sauce.

   Sadly, what had been for years has now officially become a tourist trap with the food and service to match. Beware of the daily specials, like the "lobster linguine," which has been a daily special for about 20 years now; the server won't tell you it's $80. Food was bland and undercooked. One entree had to be sent back it was so bad. Service (both the server and kitchen) slow -- 30 minute wait between entrees and mains. The only person who appeared to be working hard was the young man on ice water refill duty. I think they have decided they are catering to tourists who will never come back as opposed to their formerly-loyal local clientele. Don't waste your money.

   Normally this is a great place to bring a group of people in for dinner. Food is pretty consistently good. The service last night, on a slow Sunday, was horrific. There was no service, really. The back servers were the only people doing things, bringing us water and bread when we asked for it. We had to ask someone else if they knew who our waiter was. Then we had to call him over. We had to ask what the specials were (we know they always have some) and ask for the wine list. We had to ask for more bread. We had to ask him to take our appetizers order after he left the first time and never came back. I asked the host if she could have the waiter return to us. BIZARRE! Weird. It started making the whole experience uncomfortable. Then someone else brought the costly bottle of wine we ordered. That was a mess. And went downhill from there. Had to order another bottle of wine. That took more time. Our waiter avoided eye contact with us. We had to keep asking people to come over to our table. So weird. Foos finally came; we had been there for an hour and a half at this point. Nobody asked if we needed more wine, bread, water, or desserts. We just put our credit card on the table at some point, signaling that we were done. Again, something was very off last night.

   Service was outstanding. Food preparation was excellent. Waitress was spectacular. A superb meal with an experienced team that gets it done 5 Star rating.
