Food was delicious. A bit noisy but not not too bad. Lived sitting next to the window with the breeze and the water view. Service was great. We will definitely be going back.
True Cape Cod ambiance. Service did not anticipate needs, had to request items like water, bread. Some portions of meal were great while others like the baked potato were hard and cold. Would go again more for experience than for value of food.
We had our anniversary dinner at Landfall, sat outside near the fire table & had an absolutely delightful evening. The food was delicious and our waiter was simply charming. A very memorable night, for sure!
Great afternoon across the Board. Excellent food and world class service with our server Whitney. She was attentive and we recognized her with a generous gratuity.
Nice view and location. Good place to take someone not familiar with the Cape.
A beautiful evening, watching the sunset, coupled with outstanding service and dependable, fresh, well-prepared food. Landfall is simply a family favorite, and our out-of-town guests were most impressed. Thank you.
Lovely restaurant, right on the water and delicious food.
Service and food were great and out table location could not have been better.
A great post-ferry dinner. Tremendous, friendly server, good food, good value, with nice seats at the window.
They need to season the food with some herbs, and even salt!
Table overlooking the water made my wife very happy. Possibly, the best French onion soup I've ever had. Went twice in three weeks and all the food is excellent.
The Hostess at the front desk was so kind & efficient
I wish I could remember her name
She kept letting us know how long before our table would be ready. Just keeping customers informed goes a long way
Food was mediocre but location was lovely. Waiter was delightful.
Great food great service
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was terrific
great atmosphere, prompt service, accomodating and delicous!
Great location overlooking the harbor & great decor. The food & service were good as well.
Food was definitely way overpriced! Service was decent. My seafood platter looked great when it arrived, but I quickly realized the plate was at least 3/4 French fries. The total number of fried clams, scallops, and shrimp was less than ten. There was one small piece of fish about 1/2 the size of a “fish stick”! Very disappointing!!
The lobster roll that my wife ordered was decent size with no fillers, but also overpriced.
Definitely would not return….. there must be much better options for dining in Woods Hole!
We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary. Upon request via Open Table, I asked for a table by the window, and we got the best seat in the restaurant. Open doors on both sides of our table gave us a beautiful view of the water and of the ferries coming and going. The service was very good. The soup snd salad were outstanding. The lobster was so fresh. We had a wonderful experience, and we will remember this experience for years to come!
It’s on the water, it’s an interesting style with nautical stuff like buoys, etc. the food is expensive (I never mind this if it’s good), but man oh man is the food awful.
The lobster casserole is $50 and it’s the size of like a flan dish…it was also about 90% claw meat :-(. Should’ve asked I guess.
The lobster roll was ok but I wouldn’t even say top 25 in the cape…it was a strange “Luke warm” style. Didn’t have much Mayo and no butter but it was a little dry…also had too much claw meat (I’m talking the flat rubbery stuff)…worst part is I bit into a big shell and then had to uncomfortably spit out what I had in my mouth. It also had a hair in it but honestly it looked harmless so I pulled it out and tried to eat the rest. We didn’t finish anything though.
The shrimp cocktail was $4 a piece and they still weren’t completely thawed 🙄. They were very similar to buying a bag of frozen large (definitely not jumbo). They weren’t fishy and tasted fresh despite being from the grocery store freezer.
Lastly, the bread and salad: bread was just white bread with some garlic butter and was soggy. The salad…we didn’t touch at all. It was clearly straight out of a bag you’d find at the grocery store, but the carrot sticks and greens were wilted and mushy. Yuck.
I say go if you don’t care about prices…and you need to burn time before your ferry ride. I would never recommend going here just for dinner. I was actually quite embarrassed on my date :-/.
Great experience! Our server was amazing! We ate before catching our ferry over to Martha’s Vineyard so time was of the essence and they were able to accommodate us. Make sure you have reservations though!
Food is always great at the Landfall! Been going for decades.
Authentic cape dining experience. Food is very overpriced but you know that prior to going. Overall food was very good.
Fun restaurant that has good food and kitchy atmosphere.
Food was great!! The history of the place interesting.. had preferred sitting request at window for special birthday.. was accommodated!! Well worth it!!!
We had a great dinner at Landfall. The staff is wonderful, the environment is very nice. We got a table by the french doors with a full view of the ocean. We really enjoyed our food. I had the baked lobster stuffed with seafood, hubby had the Savannah lobster. Oysters were great! Highly recommend this place. Parking available, there is street parking and they have a lot in less than 2 minute walking distance.
Great place have been coming here for ages. Brought some out of town friends this time
Twins 30th bday
It was ok… but expensive.
great location, maritime atmosphere, excellent service
My husband and I went to dinner for our 35th anniversary. The food was delicious and a spectacular view.
Perfect table overlooking the water; staff very pleasant, good service, great atmosphere, food hot when delivered
My friend and I enjoyed a delicious meal with appetizers and dessert. It was our 2nd visit. Sorry we did not discover this gem sooner. Make reservations!! The parking is a great feature. The service was top notch. Look forward to a return visit next vacation.
It took almost an hour from the time of ordering to receive bread and salads. Our waitress was nice, but appeared inexperienced in time and customer management. All in all by the time we received our food and hunted down our check we were at the restaurant for almost two hours.
For context, we were seated at 5:00 p.m. and the restaurant was not particularly busy when we placed our order. We also had to be somewhere close by by 7:00 p.m. as otherwise it is a beautiful location and we would not have minded the extended wait for our meals.
In the end, we ended up having to ask one of the hostesses for our check. As I was leaving the hostess area, our waitress appeared and said to the hostess "they seem to be in a rush for some reason." The hostess ended up clearing our table and taking our payment and we did not see our waitress again.
We were seated by one of the open sets of French doors that overlook the water, which was beautiful and is the reason we will come back. Our prior experiences have always been pleasant with speedy, professional service so this was an odd experience.
The Hostess was so friendly and accommodating, food was great we had an amazing table , service was excellent. BEAUTIFUL SETTING
Everything was perfect as usual. Wonderful menu, high quality food ingredients, well trained professional staff always results in a wonderful experience. This is one of our favorite restaurants.
Always love this local gem!
Great food, wonderful staff. The history and the location make for a memorable dining experience.
